Just had a read, it says no cards to be handed in but handicapping scores can count.

There is currently nowhere you can play golf in Melbourne today, everything is booked out.
No cards handed in but handicapping scores count?

**** me I did just check the time Sheets.. full!
Last time the courses thrived, this time they’ll get absolutely butchered by people who are only out there to get outside and have now golf etiquette

Think the positives far outweigh the negatives. I'm sure a lot of country clubs would love to have the same problems.

It does but the courses really will get a hiding

I wonder if there is actually more people playing or that the 2 per group and only starting from one tee box has made things seem much busier? Probably a mixture of both.

I got a round in this morning after calling nearly every club in Melbourne. Speed was good, golf was poor.

Had about 3 games over the past month.
Poor effort the previous 2 games scoring low 90's off the stick.
But today went 79 off the stick and scored 46 points playing off 19.
Maybe handicap comes in a bit.
19 will become 16 at least

Good golf

Where at?

Playing off 7 today, had 23 points on the front nine holes. 1-under. Ups and downs from everywhere, including a blind chip in from 35m for par.

Back nine? 13 points. Not great. Not great at all. Used all my magic on the front nine.

Could have been the round of my life. Not to be.

It's been so cold down here I really have no motivation to play. I know it's weak and blah blah blah but today I went outside at 2pm and it was 7 deg and 'felt like' 1 according to the Elders weather app. I think if pennant comes back that will be motivation, l just need it to be a little bit warmer.

Heidelberg.

Two holes where one bad shot cost me at least two extra shots on each hole (Triple and a double). One a drive and the other an approach.

Just got an email about day one of the new restrictions today, course was fully booked and mostly green fee players. The money is a Godsend because there are no comp fees or Cart hires for 6 weeks but apparent we already had massive issues of groups of 2 becoming 4, some 6 and just a general ignorance of everything outlined in the pro shop. Clubs can get fined but most likely it’ll see us back where we were a few months back- no golf.
Members have been asked to volunteer as course Marshals (but be nice). This will go pear shaped.

I'm just outside the lockdown zone, i wonder if some of the Bellarine Peninsula clubs might offers some specials due to Melbourne people being unable to play

Play terribly today. Chipped poorly, almost the worst ive ever putted. Shot 94 with 40 putts.

Waterford Valley very soggy/muddy day couldn't get into the groove at all. Backing it up at Albert Park tomorrow hopefully a better day out
That's meant to be a beautiful and well kept course, open to the public too I believe.
