Played from the blue tees. Not sure about 457m par 4 13th. Think it would be better off as a short par 5

One of the most fun courses you can play in my opinion.

Then people would complain it's too easy

In reality the quality of a hole should not be judged by the arbitrary par number put on a scorecard.

Possibly, although would anyone really complain that a hole that would still be a 457 par 5 is too easy

What abut from the 426m white tees (where I'd imagine a large % of the rounds at SAB are played from)?

What par should that be?

426m would be at the limits of a par 4

Both should be par 4s

450m par 5 is three 7-8 irons 2putts

hole quality for me is dependant on how ive scored on it

It a good hole but there are many better than that one at the course

May have just completed a driver fitting at Drummond - awesome service

May have also found my new baby

Cannot believe i didn't do this sooner FFS

Old TM M1 - Average carry on launch monitor about 245yds

Tried - Ping G425 - multiple shafts
Tried a Callaway - multiple shafts
Tried a Cobra - multiple shafts
Tried the TM SIM - multiple shafts (also didn't like it visually)
Tried the Titleist - multiple shafts

The Titleist was 20 yards longer in carry on average than any of the others, in order (Titleist, TM, Ping, Callaway, Cobra)

Average Carry across 20 drives with the shaft below was 298 yards and dispersion was far tighter, even a couple of ugly mishits had carry of 250 yds, max carry was 318 yards - felt so sweet and sounded f k n amazing - just knew it was long and drawing perfectly

Needless to say it is now in the bag and the M1 is in the garage awaiting further instructions

You have ended up fairly close to mine. I'm running with the TS2 9.5 (probably more forgiving) and the Tensei blue....55 (bit lighter? helps an old fart like me get a bit more speed i think) stiff flex.

I have the 4 wood matching (16.5 degree) and it is a jet.

I've played it once and it was a howling northerly and was legit about a par 7 on that day.

25 points. Awful. It was 40 degrees at 9am.

Was on 17 points at the turn too, 51 strokes no wipes. Then had five wipes on the back 9. Heat got to me, there were times I couldn’t find my ball even on the fairway I was that out of it.

Scored nearest the pin on the 17th though. Twice in a row now, clearly like that hole.
