Packed it in after 13 holes today. Got on after work, pace of play was slow as buggery. Only real highlight was missing my first ever eagle putt on the 13th. Went driver - 5w to about 8m, left it about one ball width left of the hole.

Love reading this thread, finally played for the first time in 2 years during the week after playing twice a week prior to that for about 3 years.
Just a lazy 9 holes with a mate as he was playing the club champs over the weekend.
Played ok, but woke up the next day with the sorest of ribs on the left side & a very, very sore right ankle. Moral of the story, play more golf!!

Played Torquay Sands yesterday, fairways were perfect, greens decent, some of the bunkers (which i saw plenty of) where a bit shabby. Solid walk between some of the holes.

Decent enough course for the twilight price

I live in the Sands and back onto one of the fairways. I sit on my back veranda when I'm home listening to the waves breaking, having a glass of wine and watching poor bastards try and clear out from a bunker. I have a collection of over 100 golf balls from shanked shots that have landed in my yard or my pool.

Lousy 108 today at Meadow Springs. Few lost balls really hurt me and was hooking my driver left all day. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow

Huntingdale showed her teeth in the form of bunkers today. Inconsistent ones. Well maybe not. Consistently bad. Most had not much sand. Poa all through the greens. But they rolled well.

Lovely clubhouse which I didn’t sample last time.

Isn’t it a bit of a feature of sandbelt courses that their bunkers don’t have a lot of sand? You just need to drop the club behind the ball and it comes out?

When its basically grey poo no.

some bunkers at Hunt had good amount of sand, id say most that I was in did not

Played Moonah Links legend course for a golf day yesterday.

Ambrose, Won the day with -17. Handicaps were 9,10, 13, 15.

We had 15 birdies and an eagle.

Forgot to take the pin out on the 3rd last hole and it cost us a birdie, should have really been -18. We all just made shots/putts when needed. Didnt really stuff up once. Was a ridiculous day.


Oh and piped my drive on the longest drive hole and won a SIM 2 driver. had 150m into the 477m par 5.

Eagled the 9th! 490m par 5. Tees were up so maybe 475. Smashed a tee shot, had 209 for my 2nd, smashed a 2 iron, had about 5m putt and drained it. First eagle in ages.

1 Eagle - 515m par, hit my driver 270, then had a 245m 3wood over water to 20ft and drained the putt.
Nett 55 - finished 4th
