Gday all,

I'm a kangaroos supporter and I was wondering what you guys think will happen this week? Do you think you'll thrash us? Will it be a good game?

We're not in a position at the moment to be confident of a thrashing, but we're confident we should win, and that it has the potential to be a good game. You?

Im a little confident we will win only because its at the Dome if it was at the MCG the saints wouldn't even turn up, it should be a great game but remember the kangas had a big game last week and still might be a little tired from it.

Fairly confident, mainly because we have Penyn and Hudghton coming back. But it may take a week or two before they fuction as a unit like the first 14 weeks (pre season included).

A lot has changed since these two teams last met.

St Kilda was flying high yet to be defeated, whist the Roos were in the doldrums. Since round 10, the performance of teams looks a lot different to that of the whole season.

Looking at the above ladder for the rounds since Rd 10 shows that the Kangas have been outperforming us quite convincingly. This will not be a walkover for the Saints.

Despite my obvious bias, I still believe that the Saints should win.

Many have commented at the St Kilda dominance in beloved "Dome of Doom".
My thoughts are that the outstanding form that we have at home is not necessarily due to the protection from the weather, it is the FANS.

Our fans are fantastic - in number and in voice. I believe that having a genuine home ground advantage comes from having the fans out there in number screaming for the Saints to win. Whether you believe it or not, the crowd does influence the umpiring decisions and it does inspire the players.

I can't wait until I hear the Saints chant start up in one of the finals matches -shivvers down my spine.

We need to get to the ground and try to overwhelm the Kangas fans with our voices. The finals beckon....

Great thread.

I think we should win, and will be dissapointed if we don't but I'm no way underestimating the roos.

at the start of the season wells played on goddard and got pants, at the moment goddard is back from the maggoos and played solid footy, and wells is in a purple patch and performing as well as any on baller in the league.

powell is out and lenny and hamill are carrying injuries according the rumours, and max, penny and goose are out, or coming back from injuries.

meanwhile sav has run into form and mckernan has had a good game.

North are in fair form and we are in fair form, but I believe we have the better talent around the ground.

yes the Saints are clearly the superior team, but you can never write the Roos off.
The Saints have to lose one at the Dome sometime this year, and im confident that it could be this week.

The Roos will still be up after the high drama after last weeks epic, but they have had 8 days to recover from any niggles or injuries.

I'm surprised that you didn't bring back Milne for this one. Can't stand him, but he hurt us last time and is the type of player that tends to hurt us.

We're without Brown and Colby, so if you want to makes waves this year you should do the job. However.....give our midfield a sniff and the second half of the season nightmare will continue. The betting odds suggest you're hot favourites....so be very concerned!

With Murray Guerra and Monty playing we have enough options. Monty can at least play in the middle, murray was playing well in the 2nd's. So that leaves Guerra who hasn't being setting the world on fire, but at least he's very hard at it.

The match committee went for height eschewing Murray, Guerra and Peckett as well as resting Stone. They seem to feel that height is the answer to beating the Roos.

I too thought Milney might have been back in. Then again, he didn't set the world on fire in the Vales (limited opportunity notwithstanding) so maybe they want to be sure that he's back in form before they bring him back.
