Cats fans seem happy to me, usually means only one thing.Looks like opinion divided on both Carlton and Cats boards.
Probably a bit unders but you gotta keep moving forward.
Churn and burn SOS, churn and burn.
Huh...your confusing me or yourself? You posed the question 'what makes people think it will be our 2nd round pick?'
I answered, 'because the rules stipulate you have to trade your own (end of year ladder position) pick.
For example, we have just officially traded our 2017 2nd round pick to Geelong. This doesn't mean that if we get a hold of another 2nd round pick we can simply trade that. It doesn't work like that.
If we get hold of a pick (2016 or 2017) we are entitled to trade it (just like we did with the Henderson pick) however if we enter into a trade that involves, for example, our first round pick next year - that pick has to be the exact pick we receive in accordance to our end of year ladder position.

Geelong will be ~top 4 and we will be ~bottom 4. negligible upgrade in picks.
Shithouse post.Geelong is the team I am hoping that will crash and burn more than any other team next year with the exception of Hawthorn (the AFL's designed $35 million club).
Henderson and Tuohy are the prime reasons I want them down the ladder. Injuries, such as a hamstrings I wouldn't cry if it happened to them. Not much respect there for them. "Mr Honesty" and "Mr Loyalty".
Good riddance.
If Dangerfield is out, they are cooked..
You seem sad. Let JCVD cheer you up with some dancing. It's shit like this that makes me think we're run by morons.
They wouldn't have delisted him, he wasn't even out of contract.
Looks amazing to meIt could well be Zach Tuohy and a 2nd Rd Pick for Marchbank, Pickett, Smedts and maybe Corr. Looks pretty good now, right?!?
Or an International Rookie and a 2nd for 4 1sts.
Are you serious? If anyone thinks this was a good trade they are off their rocker, We just gave Tuohy away for a 3-5 pick upgrade and a guy who would have been delisted.

Reckon there's a fair few who'd go before him. Go have a look at the other half of Geelong's list.If he was out of contract he would be delisted.
The reason for the pessimism is that Zach has been one of our most durable and dependable players, 4th most durable in the AFL whereas Smedts ahs managed 4 or 5 games in the last 2 years. Smedts is probably seen as a bit of a wasted talent looking for a fresh start, where Zach was one of our most dependable guys. If Smedts body keeps letting him down (like marchbank, pickett and everyone else we are linked to) this trade might be very bad for us in the long run. SOS knows what he is doing though so presumable he has cover for Zach and maybe he is bringing in or drafting someone else with 2 working legs that we don't yet know about.Umm... surprised at the sadness in here, I reckon Geel paid overs.

I'm kind of hoping we can trade 13 for Marchbank, Pickett and Corr and Gold Coast are stupid enough to take the 2017 first and Everitt for 8 or maybe 10.Geelong will be ~top 4 and we will be ~bottom 4. negligible upgrade in picks.

A. Kennedy & Corr/Finlayson, maybe even some late picks depending on how we see the draft vs. our list.It could well be Zach Tuohy and a 2nd Rd Pick for Marchbank, Pickett, Smedts and maybe Corr. Looks pretty good now, right?!?

Ok, I will simplify it for you
We do a deal with Adelaide for Gibbs
We receive 1st round this year + 2017 2nd round from Adelaide (Other later picks will be exchanged)
We send Adelaide's 2017 2nd rounder to Geelong, as part of the 2E trade
Make sense?
Why wouldn't I be.
2017 1st round pick possibly going to GWS.
