Watched the zebra's game today and had a close look to see who would come in for the injured scott thompson and the injured wheatley. First i looked at the defenders who could replace wheatley's role this year. I thought Lamb was a better player than what he was today. He isn't quite good enough to play at afl level yet. Bell seemed to be a great player, but i think the guy who would be the right replacement would be carroll. I think broadbridge will start on the ground (vs adeliade), but if he is playing on a bigger body carroll could be the answer (to come off the bench). Godfrey had a sensational game today and probably looked like he will come in and replace thompson, although i would really like sylvia to be given a chance on the ball at afl level. he is fierce and hungry at the ball and tackles really well. Godfrey though kicked some important goals, but i think his disposal could be a little better considering its a big weakness of his when he is at afl level.
Ward, williams, and armstrong all had pretty solid games.

I think you can forget about Sylvia for a while, he was out there for a fair while without touching it. He doesn't even have the fitness to play on the ball in the VFL at the moment. 6 or 7 possesions aint enough, long way to go for Col.

Bell & Hunter did very little in the 2nd half.

Ward was more than solid, 27 disposals off half back = welcome back to the seniors!

Armstrong needs to be doing more at this level.

Willo was ok, save for a very poor shot at goal under no pressure with the wind in the 3rd. He did set up Sautner's sealer.

Johnstone looked pretty good, but he gave away a 50 & a vital goal in the last term. Undid a lot of his good work IMO.

Rigoni didn't do enough.

Godders was immense! Come back Godders, all is forgiven son!

Walsh was solid.

Carroll & Lamb held their opponents quite well I thought.
