My God this bloke's good. I hadn't seem him live until today and am afraid I owe the boy an apology. Did I REALLY call him an outside player? :eek: Ok so he didn't dominate completely today but by Christ he showed plenty. His hands are superb. And he is ferocious at the ball. I've been a bit absent of late on BF but surely he has been compared to Voss? Not obviously quick, but beautifully balanced, skilled, powerful. Can genuinely play forward and lead at the ball. Marks well above his head. Keeps his feet. Thumps in at the ball in packs. Directs play around him.

A couple of months back I tossed up Johnstone vs. this bloke. That's a pointless comparison. There isn't a hope in hell this bloke will still be there at 6.
 
An AFL recruiter isn't going to judge their decision based on one game mate. That said, we can't lose in this draft. Pick 6 has guaranteed us an A+ talent.

"One of Ziebell, Hurley, Watts, Naitanui, Rich or Hartlett....come onnnn dowwnnnnnnnnnnnn, you're the next contestant on winning a 17th flag!"

You obviously didn't see Jayden Posts game today then mate because he will sure as hell will climb plenty of recruiters ranking after his performance today, what a game.

If we did snag him, what do you think his role would be in 2009? Part of the HF rotation? Or would he be thrown into the middle quickly? Perhaps HB like Gibbs?

Aha no i didn't, im not a talent watcher...except for youtube :)

I just doubt the pecking order within a managers mind would change drastically based on one game...especially if you are already established as a top 10 pick.
 
We are screaming for someone to get under the packs and feed it out with accuracy. HFF though for most of the year
 
i saw the title of the thread and was ready to argue, but he was good today. what a freak to go from FF to midfield, and not just little goes in either position. big bodied, great mark, good kick and bottom age apperantly! but still available at draft.

after today i can split hurley and ziebell. ziebell wins.

but i was worried about one thing-
choco williams. i saw him after the game:thumbsd:
ziebell was the player to see in today's game and he was watching.
and we all know how port's pick is up in the air.

Noticed that too. And frankly at the 3/4 time huddle Choco was just staring at him. Then followed absent mindedly after him as they broke, seemed somewhat besotted by the kid......watch this space.

Yeh i saw him there also. Every recruiter (someone from each club) would have been there though, saw a few of them myself, hopefully the number 2 from the Bushies took their minds away from Ziebell. :p ;)

Is number 2 Sidebottom?How does Sidebottom compare to Hartlett?Any chance Sidebottom pushing into top 8.

I've been on us getting Zieb's for 2 years.

Will be perfect for us!

edit: Oh so you think he'll be gone?

Oh well we get one of very 6 players. Win/win who ever we get.

I think i would do pick 6 for Kerr but that is it.

It would however be stupid not to get a first round pick in this draft with the talent available and the lack of future picks.

Someone has to fall through mate. As has said for sometime, it will come down to Hurley, Hartlett and Ziebell. Will be genuinely happy if we get one of these blokes.

I can really see Hamish Hartlett in a blues top... would fit in nicely at the blues...
