Zoom-Zoom Moments Competition

The Kangaroos have had many Zoom-Zoom Moments over the years. What is your favourite?
All children instinctively know it.
A few adults still remember it.
And Mazda refuse to outgrow it.
In grown up words it means the emotion of motion.
But children know it as Zoom-Zoom.

Was it the club's first premiership in 1975, or was it when the Elephant was used to promote a circus in the pre-match before it thundered out of control? It may have been Winston Abraham's mark of the year against Port Adelaide in 1998, or who could forget Daniel Wells' kung-fu style goal of the year against Fremantle at Subiaco in 2003.

Describe your most memorable Kangaroos Zoom-Zoom moment to win one of the great monthly prizes on offer including a signed Kangaroos Guernsey, and a Mazda merchandise pack.

All monthly winners will go into the running to the win the end of season prize of two tickets to the Syd Barker Club Champion Dinner, two nights accomodation at Crown Promenade for two people including breakfast, and a weekend in one of Mazda's award winning MX-5's. Terms and conditions apply.

What's your Zoom-Zoom moment??

I loved Daniel's goal mainly because it happened directly infront of me at Subi :thumbsu:

I'll say Jason McCartney setting up the winning goal in his come-back match :)

Stevos inspirational one on one on the bounday line in the 99 Grand Final, always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

He did it on one leg too.

Geez, I love that bloke.

He would stick his head between an opponents boot and the ball if it meant it would stop them from getting a kick.

I'd steer clear of the Duck's many moments and choose possibly my favourite effort of all time.

I had misgivings about Wayne Schwass' promotion to VC in 1993, but a string of good games, characterised by a moment in THAT game at Vic Park erased all that.

We were spanking them by plenty and big Sav (obviously then at Collingwood) took a mark and played on near the members wing about 35 metres clear of his nearest opponent. Schwatter took after him, seemingly in vain, only to finally catch him near the 50m line, tackle him as he was just about to unload, force the ball free and fist the ball forward and over the boundary, thus to denying the marauding Magpies who would have almost certainly swooped on the loose ball. There was no need to do that given the margin and the time of the game but every North supporter near us was going beserk. I reckon every player ran to him to let him know about it too.

Rocky's spray to Dougie in the same year after the dopey Dog came off second best when he tried to transport Rocky onto Geelong Rd was a nice moment too.

McKernan's ball bursting goal from inside the square on 1/2 time in the 1999 GF............

Same game

Mick Martyn bursting through from defence in the 3rd Q(?) kick to Shagga , Shagga to Bell ........................GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

One of my greatest ZOOM ZOOM moments was back in the late 70's at Adren street.

When the great Peter Knights was running through the mud pit that was called the 'centre square', out the courner of his eye he has seen BIG NICK! He must have been playing a fantasic game because of bizzare reason he has decided to take on BIG NICK!

Well so no more, Knights hit BIG NICK, BIG NICK hits Knights, Knights hit ground, Knights hit good night nurse!

Got to love that s**t!

the 75 gf just being there and seeing the faces of all the oldies who had been waiting for yrs,

tears to the eye again thinking of it.

keka kicking 10 against sth melbourne at arden street, slamming through defence walls of south players, awesome

Phwoar yeah.. that was awesome. Does anybody remember a 10 second passage of play from david king where he had about 5 one percenters? That was intense for me, i watched that part over and over.

My favourite moment was Archers 250th against Sydney in 2004 round 19. What a come back we had for the great man. It was one of the best moments that i have seen. 40 points down and we come back in the last quarter and we win. What a Night?

Going with a Collingwood theme today (of moments I saw in the flesh):

Jimmy Krakouer breaking of Shane Kerrison's face walking off the ground at half time!

1980 Escort Cup win

Adrian McAdam's day out at Vic Park

Brett Allison's hanger at the G

The gutsiest, most insane thing I have ever seen a bloke do in a North jumper happed a few years ago V West Coast at Subi.

Stevens goes to boundary and does his knee (it was a reco). He looks at it, jumps up and sprints on one leg to the corridor and jumps in front of Troy Wilson, getting smashed to bits in the process. He was unstable that bloke. How he didn't die on a footy field has me stuffed.

Also, Arch trying to kill Lockett after his downfield free in the first qtr of the '96 GF. Camera's didn't really catch it, but the bloke went nuts. Plugger was a little confused. Also, Arch punching the suitcase out of Dean Wallis right in front of me in '99. I saw Dean Wallis get belted on King St once. I called him a weak pr1ck and walked briskly to a cab. :)
