Spoke to someone with an interest in Heidelberg. He said Robertson was a go, also Troy Simmonds and Daniel Harris from Kangas
Sincerely hope not - would make an even bigger mockery of the NFL competition.

Must be something about clubs with jungle cats as emblems. Note Albury (Tigers) smashed the Ovens & Murray this year on the back of a local construction magnate's cash.

Plunkett looking for a change of scenery - could he be lured back to the Magpies nest? PS Russ lee, irish finn, deangelis, trew, white, caddy all heading back to the Berger's in 2010.

Did Plunkett jump or was he pushed ??
Harvey or Murphy to C/C?
Caddy to have a "Fevola" clause in his Tigers contract?
Which ex AFL/VFL players will sign on at Warringal Park?
The "Doc" back to Eltham on the coaching staff ??
Will other clubs go broke chasing the rainbow ????
The silly season starts.

Bring on the Spring Carnival for some light relief.

My mail is Gavin Crossisca will be coaching Heidelberg.

What more can a coch do after going threein-a-row ?
And don't say four-in-a-row !
If Plunkett does go to Montmorency lets hope they give him more support - money and players - than they gave King Cole or his reputation will be tarnished.

According to good judges originally got the job by default when Robert Hyde pulled out after the Tiger's unsuccessful bid to cross the river. Apparently was told by senior players (read assistant coaches) this year not to make any moves, they would run the show from out on the ground.

Still, multiple senior premierships look good on a coaching CV.

You're kidding Right??

Mont have been better resourced and cash chuckers than all other NFL sides bar Da Bergas!

And if it is true that the Plunker is a Flunker @ coaching, then Mont are simply replacing '**** for another :D.

Rumour has it two collingwood stars of the 90's andrew tranquili and paul sharkey have been seen wining and dining with heidelberg president trevor barrot and look to both be part of the tigers tilt at 5 in a row in 2010. Watch this space.

What? I would have thought that the term "stars" was a slight exaggeration for these two

Spot on:thumbsu:

Monts cash cow "Billings Long" were trying to poach Peter Sheperd from Lalor right up until a few weeks before the 2009 season started.
With the money Mont have spent they SHOULD have been runners up at the very least. They were the under achievers of season 2009.

These two wouldn't get a gig carying the drinks. Utter garbage. Not going to happen.

MACLEOD FOOTBALL CLUB
PLAYING ASSISTANT COACH REQUIRED

Macleod Football Club, Division 2 premiers in 2009, is looking for a playing assistant coach to join the 2010 senior coaching panel headed by non-playing coach Cristian Brandt. This is a great opportunity to join a young, progressive club as it enters Division 1. Phone enquiries can be directed to Cristian on 0425 775160.

Dear Mr Brandt

You're gonna need a tad more than an assistant coach. Try at least about a couple of hundred kilo of muscle across the board. Ring 000 :D

is it true that daniel howse, paul harrison, billy morrison and maybe damian cupido are all playing at bundoora next year?

Yes, another good rumour that hasn't got too many legs.
Howse would be too old, harrison has been there and hasn't cut it at a couple of clubs and cupido comes with baggage.
And on another note - congratulations to Heidelberg for upping the ante even more with the signing of Gavin Crosisca as their new coach. Will bring a wealth of current coaching knowledge to their club and the league in general. Will be interesting to see who his assistants are - will need to be people who know the Valley players.

By bringing in Gavin Crossisca, Heidelberg is sending a pretty clear message to the NFL and AFL Vic that they are still serious about moving to the Eastern League.

It is important for people to remember that is was AFL Vic who stepped into to veto any plans Heidelberg had to move leagues. They must take some responsibility for creating this monster.

On a separate note...just because the season is over doesn't mean that there aren't any good rumours.

My sources tell me that Peter Shepherd has left Lalor after having a gut full of how Lalor supporters abuse opposition players - particularly of different races. 46 Goals this year - will be a big loss and a big gain to another club. Unlikely to play in NFL because doesn't want to play against Lalor for the same reason as he's leaving.

Northcote Park set to be the big improvers in 2010. Got off to a promising start this year heading into Round 7 undefeated with some decent wins - none better than knocking off Mont by 69 points. NP had some young county kids join their team this year and word around Bill Lawry Oval is NP have come into some serious payola and ready to recruit big.

While on the topic of money, things just seem to be going for bad to worse for Lalor with their two key sponsors - Technika and Compass pulling the pin for next year. To rub salt into the wounds Compass did not come good this year with their commitment. Speaking of salt, a Lalor committee member nearly had a heart attack when they tallied up Lance's tab at the canteen.
