Our game against you guys last season had all the hallmarks of a season classic - team comes from behind twice to win it in the death with a long range screamer - only it was between two unfashionable sides so no one really remembers it.

Maybe people will tune in this time in the hope of seeing Pards vs Ben Arfa!

Haha, just watch Soton spank us silly this weekend!

We're in terrible form at the moment and De Jong is out for 4 months too.

Took an own goal to progress in the Capital Cup and we were outplayed by Palace who'd just appointed Warnock a few days before at home. Not to mention, 2 of our goals were from defenders and 1 from an 18 year old kid off the bench :drunk:

The 2 areas we are in most dire need of strengthening - attacking threat and CB. Pardew's solution: loan out arguably our best CB and our most creative and gifted player to another club and not replace him

Add to that you're paying 80% of Yamba-Mbgiwa (sp.)'s wage, and not sure on the HBA percentage.

Posted these on the Toon board as well but how a manager with a worse W/L record than Fat Sam and Hughton can stay in charge is bewildering. Some reports Cashley will give him until Christmas to turn things around...if that is the case, we will be in serious trouble. Relegation possibly on the cards :(

Breaking News - Ole has exited Cardiff.

Don't think any sensible gaffer would want to manage that club whilst a loon like Vinny Tan is owner.

Ole Gunnar gone. "Stepped down" a few hours ago and just confirmed.

Apparently Paul Hartley (ex-Celtic player) is Tan's choice to takeover. Recently took Dundee back into the Scottish Premiership, so I guess he has promotion experience . Would prefer if we just played it safe with a proven English manager.

Pulis in talks with Cardiff. If you're in Pulis shoes ,you would prob want to hold out for a prem job to come up. Joining up with Tan owned Cardiff would be crazy .

Beat me to it mate!

To be fair Tan has really improved in the past few months. Has stayed away from transfers and shut his mouth when it comes to game day. Been fairly generous with funds given the circumstances as well. Change to blue also looking more likely than ever which would make the fans happy!

Bugger. There was rumours Fulham would take Pardew off our hands :(

Kreuuuzeurns, any chance Tan might want Mr Pardew, well qualified yes man who's more than happy to tow the company line! ;)

*** Disclaimer *** - Will only toe company line if in debt to company owner :) :)

Penfold sacked by Fulham and replaced by Kit Symons .

Didn't Felix come out only yesterday saying he had a great relationship with the owner and was in no danger of the sack?

Pardew does seem like a right prick, but to be the spokesperson for a club where the supporters are nearly always unsatisfied, wouldn't be easy.

Always fronts up, sometimes talks complete rubbish, but he always fronts up.

Longer that this post goes for, the more I'm becoming confused whether I'm commending him or rubbishing him.

You're commending him for having the guts to keep being rubbish ;)

I actually don't mind Pardew. The form the team is in is poor but he was given a long contract and seems a capable enough type.

I think that whole club is a bit toxic at the moment. There is a lot to like about NUFC but there is also plenty wrong at the club at the moment. I don't believe that's all Pardew's fault.
