Is this to do with Macca, are more the players pissed off with the coach then just Cooney & Minson (can't remember the names of any others)?
Does he want to be reunited with Ward?
Doesn't like Lonergan and wanted to get away from him potentially coming to the club - decided with Macca, Mooney, Corey, Scarlett that the Cats influence was already too heavy?
Doesn't like the captaincy?

Come on don't be naive. The club knows full well which players are and are not contracted. Do you think it gets to the last day of list lodgement and Wells and Balme are sitting in an office saying to themselves "we've forgotten something" and wondering what it is.... meanwhile poor ol' Jackson Thurlow is clearing out his locker having not got a contract.

There's a big difference between knowing a contract status and acting upon it. Maybe they should have offered him a contract, maybe they have done just that behind the scenes.... After all we can't even get a definitive answer as to whether he is or isn't contracted. The club would know but it appears nobody else seems to know.

you dont let a valued player get in this position in the first place,

surely you would be thinking if a player hasnt signed a contract and/or has kept delaying signing, you get to the end of the season, wouldn't you think, s**t this guy might do a runner?

your all saying that now after they've gone back2back but wait till next year when they just get pipped in one of the finals, then the year after they lose a couple of key position types (not the small blokes in Rioli, Suckling, Sewell's etc) and then they start placing more emphasis on some of the kiddies who look like world beaters today . . . it can go pear shaped very, very quickly indeed.
