I did listen and what I would expect a Coach to say, particularly one who is coming out of contract, is that you think you are the right man to rebuild this club and you want to coach the club beyond this year.

To not answer is soft and just gives the media more ammunition.

Mick knows he's gone and is trying to save his ego, and in the process, he will do more damage.

We're supposed to be rebuilding yet he brings in Warnock ahead of Graham to replace a midfielder!

Mick has lost the players. They didn't even show him respect vs Collingwood in his game breaking record.

He has traded our entire forward line away and brought in Jones and Tutt to replace them? Please, give me a bucket!!

Why do people continually say MM traded away our forward line? He wanted Betts to stay. He wanted Waite to stay and Garlett was a lying ahole to his face. He had no choice in any of those decisions.

Here's where we are.
We are a club that people care about, people hate and people recognise that we are vital to the comp.

If we continue to support the current admin we are at risk of becoming the Bullldogs, they don't have any of these things.

Right now, we need anger and rebellion, not compliance and support.

...We got Daisy as a midfield/forward... the club decided that Garlett was going to be the way forward and a lot cheaper long term than Betts. They didnt know that Garlett would self-implode last year. Betts is a small forward who can't rotate through the middle to rest the genuine midfielders forward....

This is one of the odd ideas that Mick seems to have developed since coming to Carlton, and why I don't think the club can rebuild with him as head coach.

he seems to have the idea that all of our players need to be 'utility players" i.e. able to play multiple positions which is complete and utter sh**. You will NEVER win finals football with a team of "utility players".

What we need to do is hire a head coach that understands that you need specialist forwards/backs not resting midfielders/ruckmen. For example:

1. Henderson - IMO one of the better defenders in the game, and played defense as a kid, he relegated to playing forward... PLAY HIM IN DEFENSE.
2. Casboult - Was a forward when we recruited him (debatable, but was recruited as such). Spends almost as much time in the ruck as the forward line, no wonder the kid is lost
3. Menzel - was recruited as a half forward, now "needs to be able to run through the middle" to keep his spot. Half forwards are the key to transition football.
4. Eddie Betts - probably the premiere small forward in the game. Was let go because he couldn't play midfield.

There are a few more, but I'm not going to post a novel. The point is, Mick has the wrong idea and his experiment has failed. Please let him go before he ruins any of more our current kids

I must admit that I get knocked about when the footy team I love is performing so badly. I have relied on the Blues for five decades to provide a source of excitement and joy. I'm limited in that way. Sheltered upbringing. I know we are all entitled to vent, get angry, apply blame etc. Reading BF is becoming like the fifth quarter for me where the pain of what I've witnessed tonight is intensified and makes me feel worse. I really should get a life outside of football.

So why don't they "run to position, chase and harass and put your body on the line" at training?

What are we not doing Monday-Friday to improve the next game by 5% from week to week?

I think the real question is why don't they do it on the field during the game? I saw a photo on Facebook only a few days ago of them tackling at training. Mick can't tackle for them. He can't hit targets for them and he can't run for them.

If players are refusing to apply pressure or tackle because they have the sads with the coach those players need to be FIRED.

Will not put up with the players pissing on the jumper, club and supporter base because they are being a bitch.

He was let go because he had a rubbish year and had never played well in a final yet still wanted 500k per year. Make no mistake, he wouldn't be half the player at Carlton as he is at Adelaide. If he was at Carlton kicking 1 or 2 per game max then everyone would be whinging that he is overpaid
