and to think i was only just warming up, maybe i should go find a supporter on the street and follow them around for the rest of the day, remind them of what their club is fighting for right now thanks to some of the master minds that have been running the tulla the last few years...

His career was basically ended by injuries. They may be formulating an argument that the supplement program was the cause... But he can't prove his case if he doesn't know what he was given.

If Hunter's hamstring injuries were due to him "having an arse like Kim Kardashian!" - he may well have a case!!

Richard Young basically telling the media to * off, going in dry:
The hearing started in Sydney on Monday, with the WADA team including Richard Young, who was also involved in the case against disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong.

Asked outside the venue if he was confident of getting a result, Young told broadcasters "Yes."

"I'm not going to talk about the case except for the arbitrators, so thank you for your interest, though."

The first of Dank's experiments
The only problem is that it can't be repeated as he doesn't know what the * he injected it with. Oh well.

Port Adelaide CEO has said off the record that they are expecting CAS to hand down a guilty verdict with minimal player sanctions. This is to ensure the integrity of the whole anti-doping framework, and, takes into consideration what players have endured over the whole process.
As for Essendon officials, they may not be as fortunate.

Players appearing today may have been exploration around fault, no significant fault etc ? WADA certainly has a history re:backdating so no surprise if guilty players are available round 1

Backdated penalties would seem to be pointless, no penalty at all really.

If any official from * can be proven to have known what was going on, I would not lose sleep if they were prevented from being involved in the sport ever again.

Bye St Jimmy, Dank, Doc Reid and so on. Thanks for ******* up our sport and young mens lives. Go live in shame forever.

A guilty verdict, regardless of the penalties issued to players, would cause massive pain to Essendope, not the least being the legal proceedings the club will face from players, ensuring that the club is under a cloud for a number of years to come.

The good thing is that Hird & Thompson are gone. Ryder & Carlisle have shipped out. Watson has lost interest & overall, the team that looked quite competitive in 2013, has been decimated.

Regardless of the level of denial at the club & among its supporters, the doping program has set the club back several years. That is a win by itself.

I don't really buy into this. What have they endured?

They've played this entire time, trained with the club and have been paid. All while taking absolutely zero personal responsibility for their actions and instead, continued bitching about players like Sam Mitchell and supported their very own club to de-rail ASADA's investigation in the federal court. The only thing they have endured is self-inflicted stress. Why should that be taken into consideration at all? Hell, not even all of them dipped in form. Then we have Jobe leaving because he couldn't handle it any more, opting for a nice cold one at the cricket while his team mates continued to absorb the poor morale, the thrashings and the lack of leadership. But oh no, poor Jobe has endured!

It's all bullshit. People can say they were influenced, duped, whatever. But ultimately, the responsibility lies with them. They are not 10 year old children, they are grown men who get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do something we all at one point dreamed about when we were children. It's even more apparent when a few of them declined to participate, so there's no excuse. Then we hear from Hal Hunter's court case that the senior players supported the program, which just suggests they knew what was going on but kept it hush hush and tried to all be on the same page, at the insistence of the club and their lawyers.

Other athletes get punished for a lot less than this. They made their bed, now they have to lie in it. They played games while drugged up, having an unfair advantage over everyone else on the field so it's only fair they miss a season. Especially since the AFL will probably be too gutless to strip points/AA jumpers/Jobe's Brownlow/etc while this stuff was in their system, though CAS actually might have the power to do this.

Did the players know... F-in oath...
Does the AFL care... Nope not really..
Will WADA prevail? Don't know... But all this silence for all we know they could just be playing twister the last four days.
