How many teams have to express interest for them to get an invite again?

It seems to change every year, but usually at least 4. The AFL has started capping the Combine at 100 players, so that seems to be more important in terms of how many nominations are required. Speaking of which, they've named 96 players and have 4 spots remaining for players to be upgraded.

The clubs were asked to post a list of 50 names and those with 3 or 4 nominations normally get a call up to the combine and those with 1 or 2 get selected for the state screen tests.
This year the club were also asked to hand over another list of 25 names for the state screen. It seems that they may be attempting to get a larger intake of state screen players than in previous years.

the west aussie list is a bit interesting.

I haven't seen massive amounts but i would have thought hardisty, winton and bevan would get invites.

Makes sense, they're looking at some of the less exposed talents to find some gems.

Winton probably the main shock, but perhaps he's not rated at all. Walsh, Lim and Bevan are all AIS guys, the clubs have made up their minds on them quite clearly (not that they won't get drafted, but their chances are slim). Hardisty will be asked to apply his game at higher levels given his lack of athleticism and Waterman is going to the Eagles 2nd/ 3rd round and there is little chance of him flying up the draft order given his average athleticism. Other father sons aren't automatic locks and some clubs might have designs on Stretch sooner than we might expect.

Pickett, Keitel and Smith. Obviously Pickett and Smith are rated, though i'm no Smith fan. Interviewing process will be important for Pickett, as will both their fitness and Smiths skills tests. Keitel belongs in the combine.

Miller-Lewis and Deluca both injured during the champs. Both highly rated, makes sense they go.

Garlett has immense upside as a genuine line breaking wingman, the interviews (attitude) will be the important aspect of his combine.

Frampton as a ruckmen isn't a go but as KPD he could get drafted this year, clubs will want to know if he's up too it physically.

Cripps can play and he has more physical upside than Bevan if/ when he fills out, a lot of question marks but he's got more potential by far.

McGovern, big marking forward/ defender who nearly got drafted in 2012. Had his injury problems like his brother, is highly skilled but pretty unproven even at WAFL level.

Watson, overage player with lots of upside. No doubt he's attracted a lot of interest given his better than expected champs performance. Being a rural kid interviews will matter.

Blakely and Anderson lack exposure, both we're hidden in the reserves last year. Both had good champs and both have issues with their games that need a closer look at.

Have heard lots of good things about McGovern. Late bloomer apparently who has a real talent for the contested mark like his brother.

Hope it's all true as another McGovern flying around would be pretty nice to watch. Reckon he'd need to be a little better across the board though given his tweener size.

Correct me if wrong, not named can still be drafted if not harder ??

One Tasmanian  (two if you count Weller :rainbow:)

What's his size? because his WAFL profile is old. Jeremy was drafted at 191cm at 18 and grew out to 195cm and Mitch might have done the same.

Mitch looked a better ground level player than Jeremy as well, slimmer build and cleaner off the deck.
