1. Blatant cheating in many forms
2. Preferential treatment from Authority
3. Sponging
These three pretty much sum up what is wrong with AFL at the moment
When they attacked Caro personally, she made sure from that point on, she would go for the throat without any fear. When you have access to facts why wouldn't you.
Watson really tarnished his reputation. As did Whateley who was to close too the Ess stable and backed the wrong horse.
Lloyd was...
What a mistake here and there amongst friends. The closing line in that article should have read "James obviously thought you were a god". How else do you describe what went on.
...people like to bag him because it is a popular pastime. The reality is that he is always ahead of the curve with what he says. Jeff is very astute and looking past the crap and bluff.
We can only hope that *FC has a 2 year break. They most definitely deserve it. Players should become free agents.
I will continue to enjoy :thumbsu:
They may not for every other club. That's what every other club should expect. But when you take on City Hall be prepared for backlash in any number of ways. Protecting the egos in this instance will be a very costly exercise and will potentially dwarf any...
Operating legals don't equate with QC battles. Much like Essendon's legals budget doesn't.
And as i'm sure you are well aware, in legal battles, many times the loser is ordered to pay the costs of the other party. Sounds like your club is okay with that.
Bad, bad move. Going the CEO lacks of desperation. What exactly would that achieve? Not a lot in the overall decision making on penalties.
The club will be paying for this for many years to come. Especially if people have to spill their guts in Court. Wow, just how big is Hird's ego.
Rich people are rich for a reason. They are tight and don't part with money willy-nilly.
The legal cost will drain EFC resources - just how much will depend on the egos involved at that club.
Can the AFL assure all the clean clubs that their 2014 annual AFL distribution won't be impacted? Can the legal costs be taken from Essendon's 2014 distribution should that club cause such costs unnecessarily?
Would they warn them of this possibility before hand or is it written into the AFL...
So they divulged it all to asada yeah? Still doesn't explain why they were beefing up while the leaders were slimming down. Aod with the other cocktail of drugs was like having a pizza with the lot and 1.25ltr bottle of diet coke:rolleyes:
It seems to be all making sense now. Ess suspected these other teams were on hgh and other muscke building supplements. Yet while the leading teams were heading in the opposite direction and sliming their players, ess were piling on muscles with a weight loss drug:eek:
I have just discovered that Gerard Whateley is a god. He speaks gospel.
Why would anyone question him. On top of being a journalist, he is an expert on bio mechanics, he interprets legislation and regulations with the best of them, mediator that resolves all issues and disputes.
In fact has...
Seriously, how farken dumb was the whole Bombers personnel to go through with this. Having been caught and left red-faced, how on Earth can their supporters still back those who duped them with blind faith. It is truly astonishing.
That club is a disgrace and should be denigrated with shame for...
yes this is what I am thinking and probably with Charters' assistance.
Those two have had a major falling out and it would not surprise one bit that Charters got the ball rolling on this whole debacle way-back-when. He must have been owed a lot of money
And then Dank went to another supplier
Yep
Robbo went hard ealy when the story broke in Feb and then went into his shell. More than likely because Ess connections were playing on emotions.
To his credit in the last month he has seen the light and the undisputed cheating ways of the club he supports, he could no longer stand still...
what is ultimately the purpose of this form if they aren't or didn't take the orange juice.
And here I was thinking Essendon was cooperating. WTF
As has been mentioned, cover-ups are hard work. Essendon may regret not paying Charters' outstanding accounts.
