I would think a slightly undersized but footy smart mid and a key back.

Think we could do with a couple (forward and back) especially given how injury prone Dear appears to be with that shoulder.

I'd like to see him play at CHB in the SANFL (and Otten up forward).

Regarding Mabior Chol (29/1/1997. 198cm, 78kg. Yeronga/Lions Academy)
He is such a talent .....but REALLY STRONG family connections will prevent us re-locating him interstate i fear.

same re callum moore, like him and parsons both rookie types with v good parts of their game but also some weaknesses and hence not going in main draft

moore- v poor kick
parsons- not strong in the contest, inconsistent with effort

but both have significant strengths
moore- athletic, quick and outstanding in the air
parsons- skilful, good size, good on outside and penetrating kick

also agree re Chol- too hard to shift him away from family

If they wanted him, surely they'd sign him as a DFA (within the next 95 minutes). He can be signed to a 1 year deal as a DFA.

I think this has worked out for the best all round. It's a great outcome for Matty, definitely improves Carlton's list, and most importantly removes the temptation for us to pick him up as a rookie!

50-50 imo. He's not a star and never will be. Had his good games for us and had his s**t ones. Not a loss to our club but hopefully he can do well at Carlton.
