Why your teams will fail

Scorpus

B Nick Vlastuin - Alex Pearce - Nick Blakey
HB Jack Sinclair - Jake Lever - Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera

R Ned Reeves - Connor Rozee - Zach Merrett
C Hugh McCluggage - Stephen Coniglio - Angus Brayshaw

HF Cam Rayner - Jack Darling - Jade Gresham
F Cameron Zurhaar - Tom Lynch - Mabior Chol

I James Rowbottom - Brad Hill - Willem Drew - Conor McKenna
S Andrew Gaff

E Patrick Lipinski - Jamie Cripps - Dougal Howard - Dylan Williams
E Josh Treacy - James Harmes - Dayne Zorko - Tom Cole
E Jack Silvagni - James Blanck - Lloyd Meek

Alex Pearce won't see out a full season. Otherwise backline strong.
Good midfield but lacking a blue chipper now that Rozee will be burdened by endless captaincy meetings and nappy changes.
Average ruck.
Unreliable forwards.
Good depth.

A.Johnson, J.Walter, M.O'Connor, Z.Cordy, S.Darcy, R.Atkins, L.Stocker, C.Coleman-Jones, J.Sinn, H.Greenwood, A.Tomlinson

Very good backline
Good starting midfield however midfield depth is thin
Forward line could be good, very good if Elliott is fit. Hipwood a question mark though. I know he's had an ACL but should produce more
Unfashionable emergency list but might be some points there

Pilchard_Adams

FB: Max Michaelanney, Ben McKay, Nathan Murphy
HB: Keidean Coleman, Jack Payne, Oleg Markov
C: Errol Gulden, Jason Horne Francis, Xavier Duursma
HF: Charlie Cameron, Mitch Lewis, Luke Pedlar
FF: Jye Amiss, Joe Danniher, Kysaiah Pickett

RUCK: Luke Jackson, Conner Nash, Matt Crouch

INT: Jacob Hopper, Tristan Xerri, Jarman Impey, Tyler Brockman

EMERGENCY: Liam Ryan, Nick Watson, Ryan Maric, Jake Kolodjashnij, Joel Hamling, Josh Goater, Rhys Stanley, Caleb Windsor, Zac Taylor, Jamaine Jones, Maurice Rioli

Some backline issues - Ben Mackay is average, Nathan Murphy career in doubt and Oleg Markov sucks.
Gulden the midfield star, some depth with Hopper, not sure about Duursma
Love Jackson as ruck. Quandary for the Dockers with Darcy.
Love the forward line.
Not sure there's enough interchange/emergency depth overall

Danger In Texas

Best 23:
B: Blake Hardwick, Esava Ratugolea, James Sicily
HB: Mitch Hinge, Jack Buckley, Hayden Young
C: Ed Langdon, Caleb Serong, Josh Ward
HF: Tom Papley, Jesse Hogan, Shai Bolton
F: Jack Higgins, Charlie Dixon, Mitchito Owens
R: Max Gawn, Adam Treloar, Scott Pendlebury
I/C: Ben Hobbs, Braeden Campbell, Mac Andrew, Tanner Bruhn
Sub: Jack Ross
Em: Brady Hough, Angus Sheldrick, Eddie Ford, Seamus Mitchell, Anthony Caminiti, Matt Owies, John Noble, James O’Donnell, Judson Clarke, Ryan Byrnes, Jack Hayes

Elite backline
Solid midfield group but not sure anyone will be pushing for a Brownlow from that group
Forward line is good but relying on King Charlie is a gamble. Who's Plan B if/when he falls over?
Bench ok but I don't see heaps of games coming from that emergency list. Injuries could make or break - which is the same as everyone but think you're particularly vulnerable.

R B Grundy C Oliver C Warner

INT W Rioli L Murphy N Caddy J Howe

EMG C Chesser J Laverde H Jones D Rampe J Boyd J Bews W Hoskin-Eliot N Erasmus C Poulter J Rogers N Cumberland

Couple of weak points in the backline (Scott, Farrell) alongside some quality. Howe, Laverde, Rampe, Bews in reserve however so probably will finish up OK down back.
Midfield could be amazing if Oliver gets himself back on the straight and narrow.
I don't think Hawkins will deteriorate much so should contribute. Ollie Lord showed some decent signs but young key forwards often a bit unpredictable.
Grundy could get a new lease of life up there.

Very jealous of that forward line. Your half forward line could be the AA half forward line.
Midfield workmanlike rather than with real star power, however could legitimately have 3 lowkey B&F winners there (T Kelly, Rowell, Parish). Sneaky good midfield.
Backline weakest area.
Depth decent.

B: Mitch McGovern / Harris Andrews / Judd McVee

HF: Mattaes Phillipou / Harry Himmelberg/ Sam Flanders

INT: Heath Chapman / Will Setterfield / Matt Johnson / Callum Brown / Paul Curtis
EMER: Alex Keath / Matt Flynn / Dylan Stephens / Aaron Cadman / Noah Long / Chris Burgess / Orazio Fantasia / Sam Sturt / Fin Macrae / Todd Goldstein / Elijah Hollands

Outstanding backline
Midfield just okay - one star (Josh Kelly) but three with upside Newcombe, Perryman, Holmes. Will they make strides this year?
Pretty good forward line, excellent ruck.
Depth strong too.

Pick of the bunch so far out of the teams I've rated.

Second half to follow tomorrow for Christmas...

Merry Christmas, drafters :) feels weird that we’re done by now, usually remember a few picks happening today

Yep, usually it's "Merry Christmas all! Ah s**t, I'm up? Guess I'll take bloody Westhoff with pick 400 or whatever. Now I'm off to drink some eggnog".

Also, Merry Christmas all! Now I'm off to drink some eggnog.

Better timing I think. It's good to get it out the way by this week.

Young Frost Treszie Knevitt Hunt Fullarton Dow ZWilliams Sonsie

Inj: B.Smith(WB)

Very solid backline. Think Keane will be a starter for us.
No Bailey Smith hurts obviously. Means Phillips is a starting mid. Plus a draftee on the wing I think this area is a bit light on. Marshall and Walsh the high points. Both AA quality and Walsh a B&F/Brownlow chance.
Kieran Briggs a luxury on the bench. Looked a serious player this year.
Larkey a decent shout for Coleman. Think Van Rooyan will jump a level too. However I've gambled on Tarry Thomas before and it always ends badly.
Depth just ok

I Lost My Keays

B: Brayden Maynard- Jordan Ridley - Josh Worrell
HB:Sam Docherty - Jack Henry - Nick Daicos
C: Zac Bailey - Jack Steele - Jake Soligo
HF. Mitch Duncan - Taylor Walker - Dylan Moore
F: Bobby Hill - Logan McDonald - Jack Ginnivan
1R: Darcy Cameron - Luke Davies-Uniacke - Taylor Adams
INT: George Wardlaw - Elijah Hewitt - Cam Guthrie - Samson Ryan

Emergency: Daniel Curtin , Nathan O’Driscoll , Brandon Ellis , Matt Kennedy, Brodie Kemp , Elijah Tsatas , Ben Brown , Brayden Cook , Jordan Sweet , Nick Hind , Jye Menzie & Jackson Archer

Absolutely love that backline.
Quite like the midfield too. Bailey and LDU are jets, Soligo on the up. Taylor Adams the type of nuggety on baller who excels at Sydney - shrewd pick up. Darcy Cameron a smart, low cost investment.
Forward line could be good. Questions are whether veterans Tex & Duncan can keep producing and whether Logan McDonald will step up.
Guthrie & Wardlaw provide some good depth on the bench.
Don't know if there's much on the emergency list to cover you though if needed.

Connor Idun --- Callum Wilkie --- Zach Guthrie
HB: Ed Richards --- Darcy Moore --- Dan Houston
C: Chayce Jones --- Will Day --- Nic Martin

Depth:
Toby Pink
Finn Maginness
Nick Holman
Matt Cottrell
Levi Casboult

Travis Boak
Taj Woewodin

Very strong backline
Midfield is good except for a ruckman
Forward line also good
Some depth on interchange & emergency list. Even some of the no names may play (Toby Pink, Matt Cottrell, Jimmy Webster etc)
Need Neale to push for Brownlow and Darcy Moore to be AA
Good team!

Emergencies:

Mitch Georgiadis

Decent enough backline
Midfield has some nice pieces. Surely Harley Reid will deliver given the glowing reviews. Has Dusty got anything in the tank?
Witts a good B&F chance.
I would have loved to take JUH this year. Think he's about to explode, Buddy 2007 style (shudder).
Tom De Koning a wildcard. Could be a player but like a lot of young talls is taking a little while to figure things out.
Depth maybe a little thin

Mostyn

Bailey Humphrey -- Harry McKay -- Sam Switkowski
HF: Tim Taranto -- Todd Marshall -- Sam Powell Pepper

C: Andrew McGrath -- Marcus Bontompelli -- Jack Macrae

HB: Caleb Daniel -- Sam Taylor -- Adam Saad
B: Oliver Florent -- Charlie Ballard -- Jack Scrimshaw

SUB: Kade Chandler

SQUAD: Will Ashcroft -- Callum Mills -- Seb Ross -- Jack Billings -- Matt Guelfi -- Zach Tuohy -- Rory Sloane -- Jason Johannison -- Jake Waterman -- Kamdyn McIntosh -- Jai Culley

Big points for naming your forwards at the top. Never give into VFL oppression!
Powell-Pepper has turned into an annoyingly effective player.
Harry McKay and Todd Marshall can be very good but can also be a bit flakey. Perhaps the number of pure goal kickers the question mark on the line up.
Love Bailey Humphrey
Midfield runs deep. Tim Taranto at half forward a luxury.
ROB will play 22 reasonable games, let's face it.
Quality backline. Sam Taylor rivals Darcy Moore as best KPD in the game. I'd love us to target Charlie Ballard if Petty doesn't work out.
Depth good. Some unfashionable late picks but they'll play and contribute.

Another forwards-at-the-top namer. Rock on!
Well balanced forward line with two genuine tall targets.
Very strong midfield & ruck.
Really like your backline
Shrewd pick ups on interchange and emergency list
A strong line up!

I've copped two ACLs in the pre-season :(

Time to redraft

Jack Silvagni (Carlton) > Rhyan Mansell (Richmond)
James Blanck (Hawthorn) > Aidan Corr (North Melbourne)

bailey smith and tarryn thomas gone, see yall next year

The Goalpost Redemption

B: Mitch McGovern / Harris Andrews / Judd McVee
HB: Mason Redman / Liam Jones / Miles Bergman
C: Blake Acres / Harry Perryman / Max Holmes
HF: Mattaes Phillipou / Harry Himmelberg/ Sam Flanders
F: Rory Lobb / Charlie Curnow / Lachie Schultz

Based on this week and a few short/medium-term injuries (Perryman, Chapman, Keath, Flynn, Hollands…reckon I’ll have somewhere between 26 & 28 playing next week).

No doubt injuries will bite at some stage.
