Not sure I understand the part about Newman - they want him to wait until after the trade period to discuss his future. So presumably he's not going anywhere, otherwise they'd give him the opportunity to find a new club? Do they just mean contract negotiations?

Well presumably he wouldn't be worth anything at the trade table
so
If we pick up 2 or 3 big fish it could push us to the limit salary cap wise and we may not have room for him

We are unable to determine what we can offer him before knowing who's coming in thus he has to wait until the end of the trade period before he finds out our offer

He is good at accumulating the football and running forward. Needs to work on his defensive side. Has a massive tank and would make a good bench player if your side had injuries
