Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Mike White will start in Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as they won't be forced to watch former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson make the start in a crucial matchup against the Seahawks. After being sidelined for the last two weeks with a rib injury, White was cleared for contact by team doctors on Monday, and subsequently re-inserted as the team's QB1. White started Weeks 12, 13 and 14 for the Jets, throwing for 952 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions while going 1-2 in those games. In Week 14 against the Bills, White was sidelined twice with injuries and evaluated at a hospital after the game before joining the team for the flight home. White will be hard to trust as anything more than a mid-QB2 in a game with massive playoff implications for the Jets.

Per Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, the Commanders will decide on a Week 17 starter by Wednesday at the latest.

Heinicke was benched for Carson Wentz in the fourth quarter of the 37-20 loss to the 49ers, throwing for 166 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the game while also losing a fumble. Wentz came in and immediately threw for a touchdown, which likely only hurts Heinicke's chances of returning as a starter this regular season. Neither quarterback comes without risk, but Wentz is head and shoulders above Heinicke from a talent perspective, while both are prone to careless turnovers. Things are likely trending toward Wentz drawing the start in Week 17 against the Browns in a must-win game for the Commanders.

Jets have put Zach Wilson back on the inactive list for week 17, and presumably week 18, with Joe Flacco to back up Mike White. Meanwhile, Saleh reckons Wilson is still a huge part of the Jets future lol. Lying thru your teeth there.

Hes 100% done in New York. Only way hes still on the roster next year is if they cant move him. If he does stay hell just be a backup to vet.

He's on the brink of turning into Josh Rosen or turning his career around like say Tagovailoa or Allen/D.Jones. That third year is critical or about the cut off point imo for deciding whether a QB is a bust or not. He's got the talent, but not the attitude.

I question his work ethic and study habits, the guy just cant read defenses at all.

Rosen is a good comparison, guys that are full of themselves like those two rarely work out. Teammates turn on them fast.

I just reckon Jets will persevere one final year with him, that third year, seeing as they invested a high pick in him, get him a new QB coach or OC, and if he fails again, they'll get rid of him mid-2023. But....if he's actually slacking off a lot, not studying, not retaining info, and causing lockerroom issues, then sure, he could be moved during the off-season, just wipe their hands of him.

When a player loses him teammates its hard to win them back, Zach is going to have to be a completely new guy walking in that building next year, go out of his way to talk to the entire squad and mend fences. If people think youre a douche still players aren't going to have your back, one "im sorry" in front of everyone isn't going to cut it, you've got to prove to everyone individually you've changed.

The rumblings are there. Garrett and co in the media and social media. So the dislike of him is there. Not sure if he's actually slacking off tho, not studying, late to meetings, falling asleep in meetings and such. He cant read defenses could be a sign of that, or a sign hes studying but not retaining info. Where are his priorities? Social life or football?

Miami/NE and Packers/Vikings on ESPN. but ESPN has a blank early game and a replay of Chargers/Rams at night.
Doubt they will show 2 late games, so expect the chargers/rams is just in there by mistake and something like Bucs/Panthers will be the other early game.

Chicago doing their level best to secure pick 2 and a potential trade haul for someone trading up for CJ Stroud/Will Levis

Houston might win another game yet , they have to play the Colts, battle of who tanks hardest.

Chicago could end up with #1.

There will be someone who falls in love with someone at the combine and will sell the farm to get pick 2. Bears are in a good spot.

Vikings. haha. Luckiest (or as Vikings fans should claim: Clutchest) SOB's going round.
1st team to ever win 11 games in a season with a one score margin
