I doubt we'd do that. Giving up our F1 would only be done to get a couple of earlier picks this year (even though we throw #29 back at them)

But yeah

F1 + #29 + #66 -> GWS
#18 + #19 + F3 -> Blues

That would be a decent deal for both clubs you would think.

What does F1 and f3 mean?

+++ Actual Mail Alert +++

Nothing unexpected here, but spoke to a relative of Harry Cheezel this morning, and they were extremely confident that NM has committed to picking him up. Suggested that for NM to trade down would be a significant reversal on what Harry has been told.

It’s my understanding, even if you got 3, you wouldn’t get him.

Trading down wouldn’t impact on this, because we intend to pick Sheezel at 2.

Other ITK’s have said we’ve also committed to Wardlaw at 3, but I find that unlikely as we would have traded 3 a few days ago if St Kilda unzipped their pants. (I however still absolutely think we pick Wardlaw there however, but I think Sheezel will be first picked).

The assumption is, we rated Cadman at 4 and rate Sheezel at 1 (excluding Ashcroft for general purposes)

Trade rankings

A+ - Knocked it out of the park

Lions, Richmond, North & Geelong

B - Improve list
Adelaide, Melbourne, Port, Eagles

C - Broke Even
Carlton, Collingwood, * , Saints, Sydney

C- - Weakened list
Fremantle, GWS & Bulldogs

D - Fail
Gold Coast & Hawthorn
Fremantle are a B. They've improved their list profile and their 22 for a fair price while managing to have a host of options for next year's draft.

O'Meara replaces Acres while being able to contribute more at the stoppage, Jackson improves upon Lobb significantly, and there's senior reinforcements for the depth they've lost.

Logue is talented, but he's sluggish at times as a defender and not big enough to impact in a contest consistently. Not sure he's agile enough to swing forward, or be used as a third defender.

Can use the ball well enough and is great in a straight line, but not sure he winds up being more than a role player overall.

D is very generous for GC. Essentially lost Rankine, Bowes and 7 for 5. Literally one likely A grader and a solid role player for a 2 pick upgrade. Just terrible

It remains to be seen whether Jackson is an upgrade on Lobb, let alone significantly...

Jackson kicked 16 goals in 2021 - that's his best season! 24 games...

O'Meara is coming in to replace Mundy, not Acres. So that's a downgrade in class

Jackson is a great pickup, but losing Meek and Lobb, that's shortterm pain if there is an injury to he or Darcy

Logue is more flexible than Corbett

Add the loss of Acres and a backup big body in Tucker, they are hoping many of their kids take the next step

Very different system given the use of Ben Brown, Fristch, McDonald, Melksham and Gawn.

He'll see more opportunities with Freo.

Port have delisted Martin Frederick. Now, I know he's not his twin brother and 14 games in 4 years isn't good and his stats were getting worse, but on Twitter, so many Port fans are angry about this.

The guy is seriously quick and he was only getting games in depleted sides you'd assume. His SANFL stats were solid.

I wonder which team will find a spot.

I know it isn’t much, but I remember watching a Port game and he may have come on as a sub, he looked a million dollars for his brief stint, I remember thinking wow and then he was barely sighted the rest of the year. I love his brothers pac, such a great asset.

All without considering gameplan cohesion and team-mate familiarity which big off-season changes can bring

Most clubs don't seem to have this issue with players... wonder why that is...

Also I'm not sure who needed to know this, but Fyfe replaces Mundy.
