I'm sorry but if that line-up is our starting 18 then sign me the **** up. I'd swap Mills & Warner, but apart from that it's deadset perfect and looking at every line has me toey.

THE BRICK WALL
Melican | McCartin | Rampe

THE DRIVE
Lloyd | Blakey | Florent

THE SPREAD
Gulden | Mills | Warner

THE PRESSURE VALVE
Papley | McLean | Wicks

THE UZI 9MM
Heeney | Amartey | McDonald

THE ENGINE ROOM
Hickey | Rowbottom | Parker

THE ASSETS
Cunningham, Campbell, McInerney, Hayward

If we start as named we could be the first team to kick 64 goals in an opening quarter.

Super sub Robbie Fox please.

I reckon we'll crush them in theory as long as the fairytale umps stay the * out of it.

We beat them last time without Mills, Rampe, McDonald, McCartin.

Let's see how they deal with our three headed monster McLean, McDonald and Amartey.

Although I thought the same for last year's Grand Final so who the hell knows. Either way we've done a good job getting this far off a horribly unlucky year.

Cmon swannies. Murder em.

Match (or beat) them in the contest, kill them on turn over. Don't allow too many D50 stoppages. Bloody kick straight.

Do that and we will win. 16 quarters of our best football wins us a flag. Time for the first 4. Whilst they may have the lead part for this fairytale, being the lead comes with higher expectations. Time for those expectations to crumble.

Our forwards lost the important contests v dees defenders. They need to lift to win those similar contests in this game, whether in the air on the ground. We need to atleast create a stoppage in those situations rather than giving Carlton defenders an intercept mark etc.

When our forward line brings pressure, wins contests & creates stoppages it's a big influence in winning the game. Forwards need to fire up. Crash the packs when required, work together to create space for one another & be feracious on the ground.

Expecting a big one from Heeney, Papley & Hayward. No more buddy, time for you fellas to be the LEADERS & STEP UP in the finals!

To me this feels a bit like a freeroll. Midway through the year finals looked off the table and I thought an extended offseason might do our team good. Don't think we're currently good enough to go all the way but, win or lose, a competitive performance today will fill our younger players with some confidence going into next season. You can't buy experience like a big final at the MCG.

Cracking Opening Post SwansProudly

I believe Voss will have his big bodied mids try and bully us across the ground. We need to stand firm and not let let them bash us up.
Its time to put our own spin on a new and improved The Bloodbath GF 1945

We're coming for you Carlton...
