We’ll know a bit more tomorrow when the injury list comes out. I expect both to be TBA.
I note that Freddy only had 65% Tog. Being managed? Hopefully just precautionary.

This fits the mechanism best, but grade 2 ACL (“partial tear”) is really uncommon, so won’t be surprised if they repeat MRI in a few days once swelling has settled.
Mitch Lewis at the Hawks did a grade 2 iirc about 2 years ago with similar mechanism, albeit it wasn’t as ugly

Yeah I’m sure we’ll get a better timeline once both have had their surgeries.

That’s definitely a silver lining then. Don’t have to worry about travelling interstate and the Adelaide hub in a couple weeks.
Hopefully she is a little late to give his hammy time to heal post opso he can help with the baby duties.

I'm getting Ricky Henderson vibes from s_wd6 and the knee will be like a fire cracker in a tissue box.

Does anyone have any experience with those heat/cold treatments on a loose ACL to tighten them up?

Lax ACL treatment to shorten/tighten
I have no info but doesn't sound useful. It's difficult to imagine that externally applied hot/cold would change the temperature of an ACL much, if at all, and harder to imagine that it would actually bring about change of any signifcance if it did.

What I saw was delivering the treatment to the ACL directly via arthroscopy.

The real question is whether ACL injuries require any surgical intervention at all.

I don't necessarily agree with it, but there is a massive push towards non-operative management going on at the moment coming from a few specialist physios in Perth.

Similar to ankle outcomes being similar post op for one repair as they are just letting it heal by itself or are you talking about strength surrounding the joint making the need for the ACL less - I'm sure we've all seen people who popped their ACL in their teens and never had it fixed who are running around park footy seemingly just fine
