Oh man I used to love that show. Hermies Endarkis had to be the biggest idiot on australian television.
Good luck to her it's something i could never pull off but really she should have gone to deportment school first or something to build confidence before entering a contest that would involve the pressure of performing on national television.
As for that rock chick who looks like shes been hit by a train she could easily be a long lost twin sister of that guy from ACDC.

I think Shannon and Cosima are the best pretty easily.
I have no idea why that "Rock Chick" is still there. She really in my opinion cant sing. I hated lauren. She is too much of a sook and isn't good enough.

Couldn't hold a note - see her performances of Imagine and Lady Marmalade - and was just all-round rubbish. Could not believe it when Holden, Marcia and Dicko kept praising her after each one of her pedestrian and awful performances. Bernard King would have destroyed her.
Good riddance to talentless trash.
As for the people bagging every one of the performers here on this thread - I can assure you the majority of the remaining contestants can actually sing and do have quality voices - however the current trend to bag anything that falls within the genre of 'reality TV' will see that each one of these performers will probably fall on the sword of their own fame fairly quickly once the TV-generated publicity of the show ends.
The remaining talent is classes above anything that won or got close to winning the train-wreck that was the three Popstars series - Shannon, Millsy, Paulini, Levi and Guy all have the vocal ability and image to sell many many many records. However, whether they can survive the tag of 'reality-TV production-line performers' like Liberty X and Kelly Clarkson have is anyone's guess.
Of the remaining contestants Paulini is about 5 classes above the rest. Absolutely magnificent, never puts in a bad one. Cosima would be next, followed by Guy and Levi.
Shannon misses almost as many notes as he hits and can be quite wooden in his movements. Millsy never misses a note because the soft cork always chooses safe songs that only have 3 notes in them. These two SHOULD be the next to go, but the little girls seem to love them. Considering Scott Cain won the Popstars comp i would think that Millsy knob is a fair chance, even though he is only pub band standard.

I disagree completely. I thought Kelly had a great voice. Her performance of "Mascara" was very good. Just a pity she doesn't have the dress sense to go with it.
How many of you who say the contestants have no talent listen to, or have enjoyed, music by Brittany, Christina, Avril, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, or any other manufactured "pop sensation"?
Australian Idol is no different to any of these "performers". Most of them have some talent in their singing abilities, but the record labels choose which crap songs they should sing and then turn the "performer" into not much more than a marketable item.
Unfortunately this will happen to whoever wins Australian Idol.

Yep, this is exactly what will happen. In fact, I would expect that the single and album have already been written and recorded, and they're just waiting for someone to drop into the vocal booth and fill in the blanks.
What is sad is, I'm not sure they know it. Most of these people are glorified karaoke singers. I don't think they necessarily would understand or care about the complete void of artistic license they'll have under the contract being given to them.
If I was in this comp, I'd almost rather finish second - you would probably feel like you had enough clout to obtain a contract on your own with a little more room to negotiate and find producers who would suit your taste and style.

Guy is excellent, Paulini is another class up. If she wins, she will be the best singer on the charts by sh1tloads.
Farkin hate Cosima, but she can belt them out. Weirdly, she is under a mystical trance which has convinced her she is attractive. I think someone needs to set her straight.
Millsy is out of his depth and he knows it.
I only watch the Sunday show, and I enjoy it. At least they will become famous for a talent and some hard work, rather than sitting in a house bludging for 10 weeks.

I do not understand how Paulini could be one of the bottom 3? Shannon, we all thought had this gigantic fan base but he was in the bottom 3, maybe it really has to do with performance?

You'd have to be absolutely naive to believe this is anything more than a popularity contest. Paulini has no hope of winning, even though she clearly is the most talented. The hordes of teenage girls voting for Rob and Shannon will ensure that. I was really hoping Shannon would be kicked out this week for butchering a Bon Jovi song

Everyone was crap last night bar Paulini its just that she has a mouth like a road trap which is why she probably won't win. Could be a good thing though the winner will probably not go anywhere due to being in such a competition. eg scandal-us postars whatever it was.
What is happening with Rob and that arrogant judge? I thought it was a bitter moment for the show last night and its obvious there is a personality clash there. I bet his parents aren't too pleased about that attitude. Rob is a show off however and all through school was in the popular group who teachers just melted over. He needs to get over himself and realise its a fairly serious competition for some of them.
I don't think Shannon did that Bon Jovi song well either but give him points for that cute lil goatee -> \/

I know it's a popularity contest...But having known that, I was slightly thrown by Shannon being one of the bottom three, as I thought Shannon would have been more appealing to the 'teens' than Guy or Milsy. But then again Shannon has kids and a fiance, so that might ruffle a few feathers I guess.

I have only gotten into AI in the past couple of weeks, but MY GOD how the HELL did Paulini end up in the BOTTOM three? And how on Earth bloody Millsy was "safe" after last night's performance... urgh! I don't know whether it was his attitude that people liked, or whether all those chicks from Tasmania that got interviewed got access to a phone or something but that was just WRONG tonight!

IMO Guy, Paulini and Cosima are the class performers and I'd be glad for any of them to win.
Totally agree that Shannon should have been voted off before Levi but it seems that the teenage girls who woulda voted for him are voting for Millsy. Shannon has to be hanging on by a thread. He's put in one good performance and has no stage presence whatsoever. He misses more notes than he hits.
Hope that Millsy and Shannon get voted off next but I doubt it'll happen. Shannon has the votes for being the good true blue aussie country boy, and pretty boy Millsy gets votes from those little teenyboppers responsible for pushing other talentless hacks to the top of the charts.
Levi shouldn't have brought his brother up to sing with him. He was upstaged, the bloke was a better performer than him.

Yep it's a disgrace that Paulini was in the bottom 3. Paulini, Guy and Cosima are easily the 3 most talented, but I think it has been a case of all the teenage girls (who have no idea about talent) are voting for Rob and other people (who appreciate good talent) aren't voting at all.
My thoughts:
Paulini - Can belt out great vocal songs to make them sound like her own, but I would like to see how see sings a slower ballard type song. Looks ok on stage, but could strut and be a bit more active. She also has an acceptable appearance... nothing outstanding but not dog ugly either.
Guy - Has an unbelievable voice with such great control and has shown he can sing in various styles. In his last couple of performances he has owned the stage as well as anyone else and he is fun to watch and listen to. His appearance is hit and miss... has a cool afro and fits right into the Kravitz style, but does carry a bit of excess weight and isn't as visual appeling to the girls.
Cosima - The last of the 3 great voices and has shown she can sing in different styles... she really belts out the big notes. She is lacking self confidence and it comes across on stage where she looks very tense and stiff... singing in high heels doesn't help her either. Would love to see her enjoy herself a bit more. Her appearance is a bit of both sexy and not so sexy... her petite frame makes for a sexy figure, but her face seems a bit angular and witchlike.
Shannon - He is obviously more limited by his vocal abilities. I feel his voice better suits a band environment where instruments can cover his weaknesses. He would be great in a INXS, Noiseworks or Cold Chisel type band. On stage he is another who looks uncomfortable in the limelight... people say he is like Robbie Williams but Robbie oozes confidence and rocks the stage and crowd, he should take a leaf from Robbie's book. He is probably the most physically appealing of the idols to all generations... cute enough for the young girls, blokey enough for the guys and manly enough (esp. being a father) for the older girls.
Rob (Millsy) - He can sing but rarely picks songs to suit his voice. Each performance has moments of 'yeah that isn't too bad' but also has moments of 'how crap does he sound'. At a time in the contest when others are 'rising to the next level' Millsy seems to be going backwards. He is extremely confident on stage and maybe at times over confident. He definitely has charisma but too much of a good thing can kill you. He definitely has appeal, especially with the young girlies (who are most likely the people voting the most), but that can only take you so far.
I would like to see Guy or Paulini win it, because they are genuine talents. Even if Rob or Shannon who are less talented win it though I wouldn't care, because I believe their fame would be short lived. Guy, Paulini, Cosima and even Levi I believe will all get recording deals of some sort after the show is over.
