14. What rule changes or concepts would you like to see put in or taken out of American football per se? All offensive plays must have someone behind the QB at the snap (Idea is to try and deminish the boring spread attack)

10. Your strongest memory of any NFL/NCAA games, moments, incidents, or news? Meeting Thurman at the Superdome at the end of the 1998 season. Flew 28 hours and spent $$$$ for him to sit out the last game to rest for the playoffs. Not all bad though, he signed my jersey and I got a photo with him. Both have pride of place in my mancave.

13. If you were commissioner, what changes to the NFL or NCAA comps themselves would you make?I don't fully understand the new overtime rules, sounds a bit college to me. I'd relax the rules on hitting the quarterback a fraction late and a tad high. Sometimes it's very soft.
14. What rule changes or concepts would you like to see put in or taken out of American football per se? The telecasts, the standard to be raised here. Can Channel 7 broadcast in HD for once?
15. Have you been to a gridiron game -- (nfl, ncaa, arena, cfl, lfl, ufl, xfl)? 5 NFL (2 in freezing Buffalo) and 1 NCAA (Cal Bears game)
16. Which games stood out most as an event for atmosphere, fans, stadiums, and general city fun? How pissed people in Buffalo get. There were punch-ons, ejections. I know the team sucked and the action wasn't interesting. They are known as the best tailgaters so they're pretty loose by kickoff. Plus you need to do something to keep warm.
17. What were the worst and why? The biting cold and the results. Brady tore them a new one.
18. Have you participated in gridiron in Australia or overseas? And at what level -- as player, coach, official, administrator, journalist, cheerleader? I played two years in the Melbourne league way back in the mid 90s. I was a slow WR/TE with bad hands. Not sure how I didn't make a name for myself.
19. Name one player from the 2012 NFL Draft that you wish your NFL team could have? Aldon Smith. I think Marcell Darieus will be a player but the Bills need to pressure the QB. Just re-read that and realized that I can't read. Justin Blackmon looks to be the guy that could help the offense to stretch the field a bit.
20. Do you play gridiron video games? How often? Favorite all-time gridiron video game? Used to a bit not so much these days.Has to be Madden.
21. Are you planning on buying a next-gen console coming around 2012-13? Which one? I'll wait for the sky high price to drop first. I have a 360 and PS3. They still go alright.

11. Which 8 gridiron people in history would you invite home for a night of dinner and conversation? Paul Brown, Al Davis, Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi, George Halas, Bill Walsh, Don Shula, Jim McMahon.
12. What US pro-sports gear do you own and/or aim to buy in future? Sold all my NFL jersey collections bar a Raiders one, but aim to wait for the new Nike ones and will buy a Pryor new Nike, and definitely a throwback of a former legend (either new construct or old cotton jersey).
13. If you were commissioner, what changes to the NFL or NCAA comps themselves would you make? NFL: Get rid of two conferences, have 4 regional conferences of 8 teams. NCAA: likewise, united regional conferences.
14. What rule changes or concepts would you like to see put in or taken out of American football per se? Incorporate some Canadian rules like kicking in general play, the Rouge, and a college-like defensive 2 pt score on failed 2 pt conversions, change the no-contact rule to 10 yards, loosen the rules around passing/receiving/punting to make the game more balanced. Some other stuff too long-winded to mention.
15. Have you been to a gridiron game -- (nfl, ncaa, arena, cfl, lfl, ufl, xfl)? NFL, NCAA, Arena, XFL.
16. Which games stood out most as an event for atmosphere, fans, stadiums, and general city fun? Always have a soft-spot for XFL. Going with a girl i'd just met that week, who happened to be into it, just a really good time during and after the game on a cold night in LV. Like a 60's AFL re-loaded.
17. What were the worst and why? Some fan violence that happened here and there from city to city. Never nice caught up or seeing it around you.

20. Do you play gridiron video games? How often? Favorite all-time gridiron video game? Yes when my console aint broken. A few times a week. Backbreaker, NFL2K, mainly, but there are others pre-2000.
21. Are you planning on buying a next-gen console coming around 2012-13? Which one? Whatever has region-free gaming, most bang for buck, free online, and other wanted exclusives.

23. How often do you gamble on the NFL/NCAA? What are you best/worst gambling results? Used to gamble only on NFL, every week, multis and assorted bets. But rarely do anymore. Best efforts...putting money on s**t Giants beating undefeated Elway Broncos, can't remember how much won, or a multi here and there winning like $500-$1k.

1. How did you start taking interest in American football? Stumbled across Superbowl XXIII on TV but couldn't understand the game initially. Went to the States the following year and while staying in LA about 200 meters from Anaheim Stadium, stumbled across the NFL Highlights (Week 10 1989 season). The next night the Rams hosted the Giants on MNF and I could hear the noise from the stadium in my room and it gave me goosebumps. When I returned I wanted to find more and came across the Don Lane coverage and have been hooked since.

Without much thought, restructure the playoffs so the best two teams, regardless of conference, could play in the Superbowl.

Cut defenses more slack, have a bit too many restrictions at present. Keep the overtime rule the same for regular season and offseason.

I suppose if I was in charge of the NCAA I'd make some kind of playoff system, then maybe I'd get in to it a bit more. NFL is fine as it is so no more teams are needed.

Two point conversion returns, overtime as 2x5 minute periods.

Tailgating with people in Foxborough was the most fun I'd had. Best atmosphere was Cleveland when they beat the Steelers, and the Jets fans sulking at MetLife when they got their arse handed to them by the Pats.

Don't watch enough NCAA to make any comment but that taunting rule needs to be changed ASAP (still can't believe that Brad Wing's TD was ruled out due to his so-called "taunting").

First thing I would do to the NFL is change playoff rules to stop a 7-9 team (ahem, Seattle) hosting a better team in the first week of the playoffs. Second change would be to change the kickoff rules to how they were before this season. Third change would be to water down the "roughing the passer" rule to give defenders a chance.

Buying those lil' magazines Football Digest @ the newsagent in the late 80's along with the late & great Don Lane having a highlight reel late night NFL show on the ABC.

The pre-draft hype of the Jeff George's, the JJ Stokes, Ryan Leaf's... ect ect... the post game meltdowns by coaches!! the weekly upset results always fascinates , the dumb play-calling, the turnovers overs in the RED ZONE!! The edge of your seat whirlwind thrillers, the sudden death of players game personalties- how the team responds. The NFL has it all I tell you@!

The Bill Cowher's, the Jerry Granville's, the Marv Levy's, Jimmy Johnson's the Sam Wyche's... coaches from the late '80's who were pragmatic, would be great story tellers.. no punches pulled.. happen to hear their stories/ version of events, also Rod Woodson, Greg Lloyd & Kevin Greene. Steeler playmakers from the '90's!

More full time officials (second guessing has to STOP!!) plus more accountability for bad calls.. less flags for accidental contact.

No penalties for accidental contact of QB's above the waist as long as its within reasonable attempt to make a play.
Helmet to helmet hits to be implemented with a points system so fines/ suspensions? are more consistent.

NFL Season opener 2010. Atlanta Falcons @ Pittsburgh. One pre-season game, Panthers @ Steelers.

Only been to one REAL game... it's a carnival atmosphere, always a treat to be there. Absorbing the experience is something to behold. So much to see other than just the general play (following the ball).. looking at the blocking and how the D organises itself.. very intriguing.

N/A but I'll just add the expense of an NFL game ticket SUCKS!!
