Why are we all obsessed with contested vs uncontested possessions nonsense? Surely we remember under McCartney where would dominate contested possessions but would get smashed on the outside and on the scoreboard. The reason we're going so well this year (on top of winning the contested ball numbers) has been the ability through the likes of Hunter, Macrae, Daniel and our half back brigade to win the uncontested ball and retain possession. I don't understand why we need to mark down Billings for working hard enough to get the ball in space and the kid uses the ball that well that surely you'd prefer him kicking it when he's in space rather than quick kicks out of contests.

In saying that I've obviously voted Bont in the poll and will continue to do so. The kids a jet and can do it all. Does his best work forward of center too which at times gets overlooked.

Its a pity Billings isn't more selfish as he rarely miss's just keeps passing off unlike some.

A few weeks later and permanent forward billings has kicked 3.5 for the season.

0.2 on the weekend. One was a pretty easy shot too
