Maybe he wants Luke Russell? Or Timmy Sumner, they are the only 2 I can think of and they aren't really even mids.

The only first or second round draft picks that are not playing for Gold Coast today are Josh Caddy (Midfielder, Geelong), Seb Tape (Key Defender), Jeremy Taylor (Key Defender), Henry Schade (Key Defender), Jack Leslie (Ruckman).
Ablett aside, the Suns have got their best midfield out there today.
Sumner is a forward (third round pick), Russell is a defender (pre-listed selection), and neither were high draft picks.

probably not strictly mids, but there's no strict mids around anyway. they all get rotated on the ball except KPPs

I don't think any of them are getting a raw deal.
McKenzie has played 17/19 games this year, and has only missed due to injury.
Shaw has played 18/19 games this year.
Russell has played 13/19 games this year, and is injured ATM.
Sumner has played 4/19 games this year, and has really done nothing when he's been out there. Hasn't even kicked a goal.
I don't understand what his argument is.

I reckon people are a bit harsh on Bell. He was rookie listed as a 20yo and didn't come through the elite junior programs like most other AFL footballers. He's raw with a lot to work on, but he's got a lot to work with.

He's really clutching at straws.
Apart from key defenders like Seb Tape, Jeremy Taylor and Henry Schade (none of whom have played this year, because Rory Thompson and Steve May have been very solid), and maybe Daniel Gorringe (only getting a go now due to injuries to others), I really don't think there's anyone on the Suns' list who could reasonably claim they're not getting enough of a go.
With what/who?
Apart from Tape and Gorringe (both of whom I could see gaining interest from the Crows, as much because of team needs as the home state connection), nobody else there that's not getting a game ATM really has any sort of currency. Even trading Tape and Gorringe isn't really going to bring the house down or bring anything amazing back the other way.

Oh no doubt it's mental. They're still very young, after all. Still, you'd expect a better effort from them considering what was at stake.

That's pretty much what happened.
Game was only worth watching to see Bell bulldozing people. Solid unit.

This actually isn't irregular for Suns games, game day thread usually is made on the main board after first bounce, we don't seem to generate a lot of interest
