Yeah, but he played in the black & white days
Apparently it was really quick and bouncy, in the nets
Strong correlation between state allegiance and Voges defence ITT
Lpno1. Never change.Yes and apparently I'm going to win the Lotto. The proof is in the pudding so to speak with the pitch, it was a road. Let's hope Adelaide is a more sporting wicket but I'm not betting on it.
Then pick him as the 4th bowler. We do not need 5 specialist bowlers. Those bowlers are hardly taking buckets of wickets at the moment, a left arm spinner is well worth it. Personally would have gone Agar but O'Keefe is the pink ball specialist.

All we want is what a test pitch should be. Early help for the bowlers, then a good deck to bat on before the bowlers take over again on days 4 and 5. Surely that's not too much to ask for.
Bingo.
Day 1: Tough for the first session and a half, before flattening out
Day 2: Starts to turn late, but flat
Day 3: Best for batting, some uneven bounce on occasions
Day 4 & 5: Spin comes into play and uneven bounce
A pitch where 350 is a great score is usually the best test match.
Yep I agree.
A first innings of 350 makes for a great match. Looking forward to watching most of it when I get home tomorrow night.
o'Keefe released from squad to join NSW for SS match. S.Marsh to bat #5 with Voges #4 and Smith at #3. Pace attack yet to be decided.
Um, O'Keefe being released basically means Patto, Siddle and Starc is the attack...o'Keefe released from squad to join NSW for SS match. S.Marsh to bat #5 with Voges #4 and Smith at #3. Pace attack yet to be decided.

To provide an option- they have formed the view that due to the pitch they only need one spinner, thus he was released - fairly logical.Jeez, not happy with that. What was the point in picking him again?

They would have known 2 days ago, so what was the point keeping him around the team, could have been preparing for the Shield match
Has been rested?Hazlewood?
Logical given if I'm not mistaken NSW play Shield cricket tomorrow so it'd give him to get there and be ready to play presumably. To provide an option- they have formed the view that due to the pitch they only need one spinner, thus he was released - fairly logical.
Left field - but wouldn't mind Bosisto getting a look in.
On the back of 102 vs full strength Vics and a solid 79 against NZ - he'll be in the Aus team in the next 3 years, give him a taste in a dead rubber.

You going to be one of 40 odd thousand there tomorrow?.......and that's how its been at AO for 130 years.
Reckon we get more Day 5, Session 3 results than any other deck in Australia.
Ed: and I say "We" nowadays...........only taken me 15 years to come around.
