Only reason Sturt would get the sub nod was the 2 on the dogs last time

You'd think it would be Erasmus now, Erasmus looks better as sub when everyone else is a bit slower, he doesn't look as out of depth

I wonder if they’re unsure if Aish is ready to go so have both Sturt and Erasmus to cover all bases?

The best thing we can do is treat Lobb with the irrelevance that he deserves.

The more the players get stuck into him the more it seems that we hate that he left us. Nothing could be further from the truth. I’m sure the last time we played them the players were giving Freo fans what they thought we wanted to see which was Lobb being roughed up. But it was that very distraction which helped contribute to us losing the game.

Our players need to focus completely on getting a win and nothing more.
At least that idiot from the podcast who got his 15 min of game creating the lobster tears beer has been put back on his box for the lead up to this one.
Can’t actually believe he was doing the rounds in Perth radio and tv before the last game with that beer. I mean, who could have predicted the gag would fall flat on its face and Lobb would have the last laugh? 🤷‍♂️🤦

Poulter is an in for WB. Not sure where he'll play but, regardless, their back half looks very shaky.

If our mids can get a sniff of it, the forwards could have a day out.
they were supposed to have a 'weak backline' last time we played them, and we all saw how that turned out

but did he? he played like s**t - unfortunately, so did Freo

It was a joke. Fun at parties aren't ya.

That 'idiot' has the best Freo podcast going around....and the lobster tears beer was just a pi$$ take. As a collective we played like trash last time vs the bullies and as for the last laugh, I reckon we still have it in the form of Amiss instead of Lobb at full forward (for the next decade or more - well after Lobb is a distant memory).

Biggest discrepency between the two sides last time was the tackles inside fifty, they were 2.33x for that on us. They doubled us on marks inside fifty and 2.5x over us on bounces which speaks to a ball flying out of our forward line and easily into theirs.

+33% on inside fifties. Plus 11% season average for them, down 13.5% for us.

JUH got off the chain early. Sending a message almost before the game even started it was so fast.

We need our wings to hurt them the other way a lot more this match.
Would also be nice if the umpires called at least 10 of the 20 throws they made last time and will likely attempt this game. Especially that flick handball over the back of the head.

Spot on. It was a joke and had zero to do with the outcome of the game.

Where are you getting these stats from? I'd love to check out this site and do some comparisons of my own.

I reckon Hughes if he doesn't have anyone else to match up on.
Good thought - he can run and he's tough and he defends. He's the right physique for Bont. He obviously doesn't have the elite skills but that's not what you necessarily need - he's got the 'I'll do the job' attitude.
