Clarke Fined for Sledging Anderson

Clarkey hiding behind Mitch, hey?...Tough words from a guy standing behind Anderson. Anderson would've been meaning himself doing the breaking.

It was quite obvious that Clarke was reminding Anderson that Johnson was picking up some nice pace.

What of it? If you have a quick bowler use him.

I guess Clarke would just have to settle for smashing them for a ton the previous innings

He earnt the right to tell other people how they're gonna get injured

All the sledging kicked off near the end when the game was already decided. Thats like kicking someone when they are already down. Nobody wins respect for doing that.Clarke is like the guy in the playground ,who stands behind the big kid shouting abuse .

He was standing up for a team mate on debut.

So we just ignore that the first major incident at that point was anderson nonstop talking at bailey while bailey mostly sat their smiling?

You think anderson was just asking him politely how he is enjoying his first test?

Anderson should have just kept his trap shut and we wouldn't have had a problem at all.

Except that when it was Clarke's turn to face the music, he flogged Anderson and co. all over the ground.

Fact is Anderson came out to bat 'sooking' because his team was about to be humiliated inside 4 days.
He started mouthing off, Clarke just retaliated

Usual tactic of the weak. Anderson plays the tough guy when they are winning but resorts to victum status when being thrashed.

Anderson has no problem with sledging, aside from when it's directed towards him or if it occurs when England are losing.

I don't recall any complaints when they were winning by 300 plus runs. And of course, if you go to Cricinfo the sub continent fans are chiming in with the ugly Australian bit (makes you wonder why they flock here then?), I hope we go even harder at them. England are just sore losers.

He can't. He is one of the worst of all. He just doesn't like it when it comes back the other way. They'll use any tactic they can to get the upper hand, and the Australian management need to be aware of that.

How well do you think he would be prepared for some balls up at his throat if he was distracted by yelling out?

My money is on the bowler doing better than the batsman.

Prepared for balls at his throat? Oh dear. Poor him. He'd almost need a big lump of wood in his hand to hit it away.

If it was any kind of half-decent batsman (presuming they still exist), they'd love to have a fast bowler intent on bowling bouncers. You know where it's going and it's a scoring opportunity.

Ive taken on board the comments about the altercation . We all know Anderson likes doing sledging too ,its no secret. Ultimately its been given coverage because Clarkes words got caught on the stump mic. If that doesnt happen ,then his best bud Shane Warne wouldnt have gone to twitter and blabbed something that Anderson is supposed to have said.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out in the next match. If Australia need a last wicket stand and Mitch Johnson is batting I imagine things could get tasty.

Are you being deliberately obtuse, or do you genuinely somehow miss the point?

I really hope it is the former.
