It says that there is less time and space when playing AFL to SANFL, with most disposals in AFL having to be made at top speed, so don’t compare performances between the two, and that coaches need to consider this factor during training.
Which they did, or didn't know, before they wrote the paper? Had a look at the pdf and seems like an academic paper to prove the obvious.

As I said before, I don't know what it means to improving our players, as it seems all obvious.

Can we work on improving goal kicking?

I think it would imply that players who think they should get a game based on dominant performances in the SANFL need to realise that it doesn’t actually work that way and while they can get a bit of form playing there, the real test would be their training form.

It reminds me of the 2010 World Cup - Pim Verbeek was criticised for saying that training for a top flight EPL club was better than playing in the Australian A-League. He was right.

Yesterday when I posted the Advertiser story about Daniel Buberis our athletics development and rehabilitation coordinator in the Lets Talk Ports thread, I looked up our footy department staff list to double check his title and noticed Carl Woods - our Skills Acquisition Specialist was missing.

I don't know if that's an error as his twitter account still has him listed as Skill Acquisition Specialist @PAFC Researcher in practice design - but his last tweet about Port was after the night of the B&F on October 5th, and he has had 5 tweets since then.

i did notice we have a new addition to our High Performance team - Ashleigh Mitchell High Performance Coordinator. Did a quick web archive search and could only get a Staff page archived on 25 March and after Geoff Parker it lists

So Carl Woods, Jaye Sippell and Michael Younger out - Younger's move to Melbourne was announced early October - and in is only Ashleigh Mitchell.

Ian McKeown is still Head of High Performance and Stuart Graham is still Head of Sports Science and Conditioning.

According to her Linkedin page Ashleigh is a recently graduated physiotherapist.

BrockBlitz is your CV up to date?? There might be an opening.

Funny they update that so quickly but last year's squad is still up for the players...

Looks like the academy will produce its 2nd AFL fitness head after Mackers took over from Burgo. From the bottom of the Indaily story about KT Finishing up at Port. Tim finished up at Arsenal 4 weeks ago according to his twitter account.

Meanwhile, at the Adelaide Football Club the refit of the Crows football department will continue with a former Port Adelaide staffer – but not fitness guru Darren Burgess as originally intended.

Adelaide is poised to hire physiotherapist and sports scientist Tim Parham, who was part of Burgess’ team at Port Adelaide before joining him at English Premier League club Arsenal in July 2018.

Parham would replace Steve Saunders who will is expected to join the Geelong Football Club. Burgess is expected to remain in the AFL system with Melbourne.

Port's fitness program has moved on a long way since Burgess left. Much better attuned to AFL football than Burgess's no limits of human endurance program. Parham will have gaps in his knowledge and no experience in building a full time AFL fitness program.

He once gave a rub down to Mesut Ozil though.

Looks like he may have been sniffing around at Port first

Lol how many more nice Port things are they after?
For the biggest richest AFL club in SA they sure do come running to little brother to fix their woes.
Every appointment over there becomes even more amusing.
Imitation, flattery and all that 😂🤣😅
