He's played this year.
Paine has gone backwards and PK has been injured. Bucks wants to play him as a mid not a forward and he has not been able to build up a fitness base to play on the ball in the VFL
This seems familiar, we tried to do the same thing. He's a half forward, not a midfielder.

Only one who has gone backwards is the one who couldn't get a team in the midst of the worse injury list ever (or so I've been told).
Played well in the mids a week or 2 ago in the VFL then he pulled up sore and was restricted the next week

Um, he played as a midfielder for two years in Brisbane. Trying to turn him into a mid isn't some recent occurrence.
As I have said it is more a fitness thing his body has not allowed him to go through the middle in the 2's this year as he has spent alot of the year out injured
Your point? He didn't play VFL to mid year and then has had injury lay offs after.

Hopefully he has improved his two way running.
Was a regular ressies attender in 2012-2013 and Nathan Clarke and Gary O'Donnell were (vocally) at their wits end with his lack of defensive running.
Hasn't looked to bad in the few games he has played this year in the VFL but he has played as the deepest forward so it will not get exposed as much as it would if he played in the middle.
Didn't he play over half the year in the VFL? Was he close to being considered at any point?
