and he is called Ian Johnson who yesterday said the AFL had no hope of reaping "one more cent " out of his network in its bid to extend the season to 24 rounds,which would require an extra $2 million to pay its players.
Further he said "they won't be getting another zack out of us.I think we're paying them a lot of money already."

Maybe the ratings are'nt so good?

Ian Johnson did not sign the contract with Tim Lane it was his predecessor - ian Johnson was at 9 when the footy show started - he then went to Crown and was recalled back to 9 in the last 12 months - because 9 made some blunders with its AFL TV rights deal - the worst of whch included 10 getting the AFL GF
