Not a bad effort guys, my only comment is if it is the worst team of the 2000's a few of those players did not play for us in the 2000's:

Paul Bulluss – 1998
Ben Moore – 1999
Justin Plapp – 1999
Matthew Manfield – 1998
Damien Ryan – 1998
Ashley Blurton – 1999
Pat Steinfort – I don’t think ever played a senior game
I am happy to be corrected on these but I have listed the year I belived they played there last senior game for us. I am quite sure that Steinfort didn't ever play a game after being drafted in the 1996 draft, but as I say happy to be corrected.

the first effort was 95-05. there is a newer team up later in the thread for the 00s. i posted it in this one rather than make a new thread.

i am sorry that i have offended you. i care nothing for them either, its an indictment on our club that so many promising players have turned out to be duds. it is astounding and i guess for me the only way i can deal with it is to make some kind of ironic fun at it. if thats not what your into you are very free not to read the thread. as you would know bo, i am not usually a negative poster, but on occasion when i am just sick to death of this crap we put up with year after year i feel like lashing out a bit. i really hope we see some good footy from the tiges next year to restore some faith because 09 was bitterly disappointing and to see players who were supposed to be the nucleus of our rebirth (patto, meyer, hughes, JON etc etc) be shown the door just reinforces how many duds (who have had high potential) walk through our club.

i would go with patto ahead of marsh, because he was such a high pick. the higher the expectations the more of a dud they are imo.
someone else can finish the team if they want, i am done with being flamed over posting 'negative' stuff. back to the land of lollypops and rainbows for this sith lord

fair enough darth ea to their own, generally speaking I bare No malice to those that dont fire, to me thats ill directed, it's the spuds that selected them that draw my ire. Occasionally a recruit has bludged as in a blumfield or srtrawbs O'dwyer but for the most part they were just ordinary selections

yeah fair enough. i guess i see this thread as a way of highlighting the poor job of our recruiters. not just recruiters though because the fact is they couldn't possibly get it wrong that many times - its the development that is the problem. lets face it, if pavlich or buddy had landed at richmond we might be hailing them as the greatest spuds of all time. its just not good enough and one area we need to get right from this day forward.

Yeah I agree that plenty of duds gave thier all and did what they were entitled to do as far as taking the offer to play at this level.

But there were more blokes than Strawbs and Blumfield who treated us like a local football club.

Stories about guys like Jackson make me furious. They really saw us as a place to make a dollar and to live it up.
