Does anyone know if they let you in for free from a certain point in a game eg 3 qtr time? We are in Melbourne and wanted something to do after dinner and were thinking of going over to etihad for something to do!

Pretty sure it was ditched ages ago for security reasons. When you've got a six year old that you take to the football, you often find yourself outside the ground at 3/4 time and coming in 10 minutes into the last quarter. We still have to scan our memberships or tickets to get back in.
They don't really 'let you in for free', but they do open the exit gates and turnstiles before then end of the game. Just wait until there is no attendant there and then waltz on in. Varies with each game, thinks it's more like 5 or 10min before the end, maybe earlier if the game is a blow out.
