Cats Twitter still had us 7 points up with 90 seconds to go... surely we couldn't have lost it from there?

Leading player stats...

(Funny that none of our leading players have registered any tackles, but the Cats are leading the tackle count 65-34.)

They did the same last week as well - swapped the tackles and hitouts around. Liv Fuller had something like 36 tackles and 3 hit outs last week apparently.

Fair effort that

Gutsy from the girls, after being down on the scoreboard at the half. They were really throwing themselves into every contest late, good spirit on display.

Got to go the long way around now but still in with a show.

:handok: :handfist: :geelong:

Can't fault their effort. Was keeping an eye on the stats, and our girls nearly had as many tackles in the first half as our VFL side did for the entire game.

What BS is this...

As per info from the first week of the finals: "For the 2021 VFLW Finals Series in Weeks 1-3, the highest ranked team as per the VFLW Ladder at the conclusion of the Home and Away Season will play host to VFLW Finals Series Matches."

Yet Essendon is hosting the preliminary final WTF

Surely we should all be applauding, though. This level of consistency in how Geelong is treated as a 'home' team across AFL/VFL programs is truly refreshing in an age when many decisions by the powers that be appear to be made on the run and with no consideration of true equity.

This was the response by Kingy - love the consistency in that things changed before the first week of finals & after the first week of finals
