Last week we 'drew the line in the sand'

....and this week a tsunami came in and washed it all away.

The joke to the story is that we drew the line against Brisbane and to create a lil' more humour, Melbourne washed it away. Just another year being a Richmond supporter, right?

Talk is cheap and has been for decades at Tigerland. To their credit, they keep their traps shut and the lid on these days more than before.

If anyone is having trouble dealing, start by heading over to the North board and asking them how they get by. We're not the only club that can looking a million bucks one week, then rubbish the next.

I don't really give a toss about this season, but we need to win more than a few so that Rance wants to stay.

Rance, please stay.

Well it's like my late friend used to say a lot "it's hard being a Richmond Supporter".

Can't keep blaming the coach when it's pretty obvious we don't have the back up players once injuries arise our second tier players are just plain crap
We have the depth of a sheet of paper, for which Hardwick is at least partially responsible. We can't fix the lack of depth easily, we can however fix the clueless coach.

Why has the coach stated the last two year that we have the depth. You have to laugh at his season launch speech " we aren't putting a ceiling on this season we can beat anyone on our day" . Well we just lost to the dogs and the Demons . Wow just wow

He even said that at the presser last night, worthy of a face palm that comment.

Looks like he should have been more worried about the depth of our foundations than the height of our ceiling.

Our coach didn't blame injuries and therefore depth - he blamed insipid lack of effort....

Imagine in sport there was someone you could employee to install a playing attitude in a group that meant you never had a lack of effort.. wait what. That's ultimately falls on the coach. But if it's the coach who is ultimately responsible the that must mean it's the coach who is at fault.

It's amazing that all the Hardwick supporters end up spruiking points that only show his lack of ability.

Round 1 carlton packed the pressure on for 1 and a bit quarters, we were 4 goals down, should have been 6-7, they tired/gave up we got back i to the game.

Dogs did it for 4 quarters, we never looked like winning.

Brisbane did it for 1 and a bit quarters and we were level pegging then they gave up.

Dees did it for 4 quarters, see dogs game above.

Yup - I've been posting for years in response to those who say "they are professional footballers who once they run onto the ground have to take responsibility for how they play - coach can't make them work harder and go in harder"....
Utter hog s**t!

That is exactly what good coaches do.... They get the team to play as one unit, for each other and most importantly they mentally prepare them for each battle.

Spotlights, soul searching this week that might result in a crappy win next Sat v the cats won't solve anything IMO.

Problem is ingrained and deeper....

Exactly. And, keep in mind, all these teams are bottom 6 or 7 sides. We haven't really played anyone half decent yet.

With the draw we have this year, we should be finishing in the top 6. No excuses.
