I will miss Craig

he makes me laugh every night

Dave used to be great but hasn't been for years…. Jimmy Fallon is well packaged by the network… his musical skits with the roots crew are the highlight

He is one of the greatest monologue practitioners in comedy - and he would have done it all himself

Letterman finishes up on May 20th next year

Fergie finishes next friday in the USA [will air monday 22nd here].In todays Green Guide it mentions that will be the last episode to air on Eleven. At this stage they aren't going to show the guest fill-in hosts for 3 months or the new host,James Corden, when he starts in march.

Colbert ends next thursday [friday night here]

Fallon's interviews are pretty terrible, especially with his fake laughter and enthusiasm
He does however do great segments/games with the guests. In fact the lip sync battle that he does from time to time is actually being made into its own tv show

Dont see much of Kimmel but he appears to be a much better interviewer

Piers Morgan did dumb stuff like tweet about cricket endlessly. A sport Americans don't know or give a s**t about.

Americans can be a be a bit hostile towards Brits coming to their country and having shows (eg Piers Morgan)
It even took a while for them to warm to Craig Ferguson
but Ferguson was known to US viewers prior to him taking over the show.Corden isn't.
Having seen Corden on Colbert last week and at the start and end of last nights Fergie, that girlie giggle he has is going to be off putting.

Even still, Gervais roasting Celebs at the Golden Globes didnt go down to well
Think Corden will have a tough time winning the support of Americans
Having said that, his main competition at this time-slot will be Seth Myers who seems to be a bust
He'll have a massive lead in with Letterman finishing up, then Colbert debuting too.

Really? They asked him back to do it a second and third time!

What a brilliant Colbert finale.

Not sure if we'll ever get a performance like that over a period of time that could even come close to Colbert's run. Certainly nowhere as amazing.
