Richmond are out. If we let him go to Freo that'll be a huge mistake. If there is one thing we need to learn from Hawthorn from yesterday its that you need to trade and trade big. Their side is stacked to the rafters with A grade recruits from lesser clubs. We are in a rare position to be able to sell to potential deserters that our Premiership window is open, do whatever it takes, Bennell is a match winner and its clear now our midfield is a match winner or 2 short.

If these rumours about us floating Sinclair and Lycett as trade bait are true then for gods sake don't give either of them to a premiership rival like Sydney, especially not for someone as insignificant as Jetta. Bundle them with one or both first round picks or another player and get the job done. Pay overs for him if you have to. Masten is tradeable, LeCras would attract extremely good value.. lots for Simmo to think about.

Hell, even for the sake of making sure Bennell doesn't end up at Hawthorn next year you just need to do whatever it takes.. I can see it happening. Unless we put our hand up they're probably the front runners and thats just disastrous for everyone.

If Hawks were in the picture yes we should make a play for Bennell just to keep him away from them.

Seems like he is going to Freo.

I recall Jetta has represented the Eagles in an intra-club match back in 2008/9?
He has the same birthday as Nic Nat though 1 year older with good line breaking ability. At the moment Shuey is the only one doing line breaking the job for us. He is certainly a good quality player who will strengthen our team quickly.

Jetta couldn't break out of a paper bag. He is a floating front runner.

Less interested in him after losing the grand final. We don't need home and away specialists, we need players who will stand up on the biggest days - and Jetta hasn't done that once.
What happened when Sydney won three years ago? I did not watch that game!

I'd love him. We need these kinds of top up players. If our window is open you take the punt on established players who have shown something. Granted he had a poor year but if we can get our clearances right his front running and speed benefits us.

like his run and skill, but I see to much of him in Sydney - more than outside asa player. Fine running forward into an un populated forward line - but thats not our game. While watching the North prelim I just thought - he doesn't have a place in our team as its was so contested Watching the GF we were ruin down a few time but that was because we lacked options, not lacked pace. Most hawks that took possession were on their own and stationary so again what does jetta offer when it is a team wide problem not an individual matter.

The grand final has further convinced me that we should not be trading our first pick for a front runner.

For the right price absolutely we should be trading him in, it just happens that it will cost us our first rounder which only because of the situation of Jetta not being contracted makes it the wrong price.

Regardless, if he comes in he'll be best 22 and look dashing in the wings.

If we want a flag then trading in experience is the key and a bit of speed down the wings is one thing we lack, as good as Gaff is on the other side with disposal he isn't fast, you'd take 10 + less Gaff possies for a lot more speed and hurt factor on the other wing.

If any of you disagree with me well you can suck my balls.
