The thing is, we didn't have to do it. Just sending out the next batsman would have been fine, even if it was the powerplay.

Unnecessary tinkering/show-ponying.

They did it in the CLT20 as well.

He's an over rated batsman, plus putting him in early robs us off big hitting when the ball is old. What was Alfie thinking?
 
If anyone tries to tell me that the standard of cricket has improved over time (predominantly batting) I will point to this game as an example. Good pitch, ok attacks, puss batting.
