Welcome back to the Memorial Delonte West-Gloria James South Beach Cup for the 14th season!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2022/23 CHAMPIONS - Dante's Devils managed by deeman87

As usual this is the deal... (I'm helping Billy out with starting the league this year as he's super busy with life...)

•Dynasty League
•12 team
•Standard 9 Cats
•PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, UTL, UTL + 5 Reserves + 1 Yahoo managed IL+ slot.
•No extra slot for Euro players (i.e. if you drafted LLull then he takes up a spot on your roster regardless if he plays NBA or not).

•Two round draft involving rookies and free agents every year.
The draft order of the bottom six is set at the end of the regular season.
•The draft order for the top 6 is also set at the end of the regular season except for the 2 Grand Finalists who will have the 11th and 12th picks. If you haven't been active throughout the year though you get last pick in the first round.
•You are allowed to trade draft picks for the draft ahead and the draft following. (i.e. if we are in the 2016-2017 season you can only trade for the 2017 draft and 2018 drafts.

Tanking and Absentia
If for whatever reason a manager does not set his team for an extended pariod of time as assessed by the commissioner a player may have their first round pick for the following year downgraded to the last pick in the first round as punishment. If inactivity is ongoing, a manager may lose his team. This may be due to lack of activity or due to "tanking". Tanking is purposely not setting your team (or your best players) to lose each week.

League will not go live until after the rookie draft!

First game of the season is the 24th October 2023.

Also wanted to raise some issues that Bugsy brought up last season about a couple of changes for this yr. If everyone can weigh in on which ones they like and don't like...

1. IL spot changed to IL+ (Think this is a no-brainer as it's really annoying in the playoffs if you have an injured guy and they're day to day)
2. Bring the playoffs forward 1 week to avoid the grand final being played with the carnage of final week restings. (Also a no-brainer)
3. One of the C spots being changed to a 3rd Utility spot. (Not as much a no-brainer, not entirely sure id vote for this one but if the league wants it then im ok with it, does add some flexibility with stat hunting of sorts and a lil more strategy so im not opposed to it)

Same as the other guys, I’d go yes to 1 & 2 but no to 3. I get why Bugsy is suggesting to lose a C, but I reckon it adds to the challenge of trying to find 2 decent C’s. My C’s are terrible so I’m definitely not voting this way to benefit myself!
