This is turning into a tremendous drunken stumble towards finals for the bottom two spots in the 8. It's like no one wants to be there.

Gee Rivers has been good for Geelong lately. Quietly getting the job done.

Was just having a look at final teams for Rd 21 in the WAFL tomorrow, it seems Col Sylvia has been dropped not just from the Freo first 22 but from their reserves team, Peel Thunder, as well.

*edit my bad, just checked Freo's injury list, seems he did his hammy and is out for 1-2 weeks

Shame the Collingwood match isn't on the TV. Would make some entertaining viewing.

Score review system is a joke

Umpires continuing to plumb new depths. Apparently you're not doing your job if you don't overrule at least one goal or make a few calls from 50+ metres away.

Dustin Martin's disposal can be downright filthy. You'd think he was trying to pick out the Crows players.

Tigers should spear Hardwick. They've drafted some talent but he's hardly getting the best out of this list, flattering little winning streak or not.

The tigers are just the masters of ass ******* their own supporters, get 25 odd points up and then kick 1.10 before letting the crows run them down
Haha tigers

Also yeah its as if the umpires need 1 big decision that they need to make to justify their paycheck or something

Nice to see Brisbane give the filth a hammering at the 'G, makes next weeks encounter with the Weagles that bit more interesting. They can still make the finals on percentage if they beat us and GC the following week, and Richmond and Adelaide each drop one of their last two games (feasible considering the Crows have North next week and the Tiges have Sydney at ANZ to round their season out)

Roos touched on something in his press conference that I've been thinking for awhile, that some teams have been artificially kept a the top for longer because of the years GWS and GC got all the draft picks. It meant teams in the middle to lower parts of the table missed out on topping up their list with another top 10 pick or two, so can still not seriously challenge teams like the Hawks, Swans, Dockers and Cats. This along with free agency means the only teams in the near future who will seriosuly challenge the status quo are GC and GWS I'd imagine.

Not necessarily true. Brisbane and the Bulldogs will be up there soon.

Perhaps, but that won't be for a few years yet, and it will be because they got another couple of guns at draft time by finishing out of the 8. Teams like Nth, Carlton, Richmond, Adelaide, WCE, were stunted because they didn't get those extra couple of guns while they were building, and are likely to get stuck in the middle of the table for awhile yet because of it.

We got shafted a bit too. If we'd been able to draft Dion Prestia or Tom Lynch instead of Lucas Cook in 2010, things might be very different. Won't comment on 2011 because we picked up Mitch Clark with our pick and that turned out about as well as any draft pick could have PRIOR to his injury.
