Pakistan's tour of former East Pakistan gets underway today. First of three ODIs starts this afternoon. That series is followed by a T20I and two tests.

Of course, Pakistan are now led by Azhar Ali in ODIs after retirements from Misbah and Afridi.

Looks like Tamim and Mushfiqur smashed them overnight, with the Bangladeshi's first win in 16 years against Pakistan. Pretty tough return to the top level for Ajmal going for 74 off ten wicketless overs.

Bangladesh won the 2nd ODI (and series) last night by 7 wickets, Tamim belted another century.

Fair to suggest that Bangladesh have improved? Made a WC QF and now have beaten Pakistan twice in a row and fairly comfortably too.

Certainly have. Still prone to the odd implosion, but there are undeniably world class players in their lineup now and the number is increasing each year.

Sarkar with maiden ODI century. Tamim Iqbal gets a solid half century to go with his two hundreds in this series. Not bad at all.

Bangladesh look like posting a decent first innings score in the first test.

Are we seeing Bangladesh upping their standard or are Pakistan just really off?

Pakistan have really taken over this game. Will be interesting how the Bangas bat in the second innings.

Hopefully they can post a lead to make it an interesting finish.

Pitch must be a road or something. Bangers are motoring along.

Tamim Iqbal continuing on with his rich vein of form, a test century to add to his two recent ODI centuries. According to Cricinfo he now has the most test hundreds out of any Bangladesh player with 7.

Pretty incredible performance by Bangladesh irrespective of the pitch.

To score 0/273 off 61 overs with a 300 run deficit is brilliant stuff!

He's got it. Wondering if Bangladesh will go with the smash and set Pakistan a chase of 150 within the space of a session or just play it safe until the end.

Good to see them cash in. Pitch sounds atrocious though!
From the little I've seen, pitches in Bangladesh seem to be rolled dried mud. Slow, lifeless, for five days. It really takes batsmen to get themselves out to get a result. That is, unless there is some seriously good swing bowling I guess. Even then it would have to be pitched right up and swing very late.

For those who care, the second test is now on day 3. Pakistan made 8/557 dec. Bangladesh replied with 203. Pakistan are 1/7 in their second innings.
