5-74. ****ing woeful.
Pretty tough going when you are up against this WA side though.

It’s quality from top to bottom, with numerous players smashing down doors to try and get in.

Scores are currently about right.

We were 5-73 in our last match against bottom placed NSW as well though.

So it's as much, if not more, about our batting as it is the opposition.

I just watched Jewell's dismissal. He and Ward only had to see out a few overs last night and what does he do? Fiddles at a ball which could have been easily been left and gets caught behind.

WA need to get rid of one of these.

Don't think Webster should be batting behind Paine either.
Yeah, you would want to be batting last. Even 450 would be an achievable result if they had 110 overs.

Well, I guess the plan now is to get the wickets as quick as we can after Tea, then get started on setting up a nice sort of lead for the bowlers.

Alls good.

According to cricket.com.au, yes it does (for the Sheffield Shield):
Handscomb took 9 catches in a match as a fielder in a Shield game last year if I remember correctly. So lets hope Bancroft can get another 5 in the 2nd innings and beat that.

Edit: Pretty sure that was against Tassie too so they must enjoy doing some catching practice.

How good do we think Teague Wyllie can be? Given his age, and the fact he's getting a regular go in comfortably the best state side of the last two years, is he the most exciting young test talent in the country at the moment?
Haven't seen this level of hype around an 18 year old bat since Jason Sangha and Jake Doran. He looks very very good but there's still a large amount that can change before he truly reaches an age where we'll know if he's made it or not. The eye test is very promising though.

Definitely ticks all the boxes - solid defence for his age, bats time, can play shots to all corners. Hopefully has a better few years than Sangha and Doran had haha

Technically Wyllie is very sound , concentration good .
Ahead of the pack at the moment only 18 yrs of age .

Could be sent to India tomorrow and technically would be okay on the turning wickets .

This Tassie wicket a batting paradise compared fo India right now though .
