I'll leave that to dogs105

Agree with most West Adelaide clear winner, but after then it gets harder.

Probably something like this...

1 West Adelaide
2 Woodvill West Torrens
3 Norwood
4 Glenelg
5 North Adelaide
6 Port Adelaide
7 South Adelaide
8 Centrals
9 Sturt
Agree on most except I think the Norwood side may have been the weakest. WA easily the best even with Jericho in it.;)

Harsh on Norwood.

Sturt don't even have any talls!

Players drafted from Norwood to Crows or to other AFL clubs then to Crows like Robran, Walker was recruited from Broken Hill so not counted

Not sure if ive missed anyone but got just enough for a side

F Stephen Rowe Taylow Walker Jonathan Ross
HF Bryce Campbell Matthew Robran Sudjai Cook
C James Theissen Andrew Jarman James Gallagher
HB Rodney Maynard Staurt Bown Max Michalanney
B Luke Brown Tom Warhurst Nathan Bassett
R David Pitmann Brettt James Mitch Grigg
I Grant Tanner, Matthew Kelly , Aaron Keating , Chad Gibson, Sam Smart, Kris Massie, Andrew Eccles, Downsborough

Edited to include Thiessen, Walker, Massie and Downsborugh as other people have included theses types
Thiessen recruited by Redlegs, but not Walker, Massie or Downsborough who recruited by the Crows

B: Bassett, Warhurst, Brown
HB: Michalanney, Bown, Maynard
C: Thiessen, A Jarman, J Gallagher
HF: Campbell, Robran, S Cook
F: S Rowe, Ross, Keating
R: Pittman, James, Grigg
I: Tanner, Kelly, Gibson, S Smart

Still better than Sturt imo.

Did you play against him? (Eek)

Do you agree he was a complete brute with a killer hip and shoulder?
Only School footy.
Yes, 100% agree.
Packed a punch as well, I learnt that the hard way and quickly worked out to keep my mouth shut after that

Edit: I was just a make up the numbers guy, basketball was my jam.

Robran via Hawthorn.
James via Collingwood

Could almost name a Collingwood side full of ex Norwood players

F. Francis Wilson. Patterson
Hf. Kemp. Tanner
C. Wasley. James Staritski
Hb. Taylor Kelly Burns
B. Pitt
R Pascoe. Carmen. Aish

Ok. Not quite a full side. I am Sure there are others

R: Borlase, Martin, Atkinson
I: n/a

Coach: Craig
Apart from Dawson and McAdam, that looks like a mid table SA Amateur League side

Mattner & Sanderson too... but they both left.

But yeah, Sturt has been the worst sanfl club for the Crows.

Not totally related to this thread. I met Michael Taylor a few times through work post his football days. A total gentleman and good guy.
Pity never a Crow. :(

South Adelaide

B: Powell, Groom, Smart
HB: Doughty, Bone, Torney
C: B Cook, Goodwin, Sampson
HF: J Turner, Fitzgerald, Elliott
F: Archard, P McIntyre, Keating
R: Clarke, Koster, Bickley

Coach: Bickley

Edit for Clarke & Keating

Crazy how South Adelaide has not won a flag since 1964 or not made a grand final since 1979.

Nigel Smart, Clay Sampson, Simon Goodwin, Kym Koster, Mark Bickley all got a least 1 premiership medal each in that 1997-8 crows side.

5 South Adelaide blokes and Bickley was the captain in 1997-8.

Can add Phil Carman to that list

It’s a pretty solid back 6 there.

The unfortunate thing about the draft is it leaves a pot luck playing list situation with Sanfl Clubs. Which club is left with their best players at the end of the day will win.

Scott Thompson
Port Adelaide

B: Johncock, Hughes, D Wakelin
HB: Symes, Chalmers, Ormond-Allen
C: Tregenza, Anderson, Warrior
HF: Bond, D Smith, O'Loughlin
F: D Brown, Hodges, Beinke
R: Downsborough, Bode, McLeod
I: S Pedler, Higgins,

Coach: Walsh

Now... which is the best team?
Scott Thompson

Bode was from the bays. Dowsborough from Perth. Walsh from Vic.
