Dumb decision
Typical of CA to bend the rules for Victoria and New South Wales
Don't have much time for the crowd argument. Reckon Alice was the best option.
Interesting that apparently even Etihad is not first class standard!
They probably removed the wickets after the BBL
There is footy there this weekend, but in the discussion they have said it is not first class standard, MCG is the only venue in Victoria.
It seems the standard for the Shield is higher than one day or t20 games

Come on, Wagga Wagga does not have better facilities than Etihad Stadium
Would imagine Homebush is the same, probably coz of practice facilities or something
Apparently so, it must be the practice facilities Western Royboy mentioned that counts it out???
No practice facilities - wicket wouldn't last four days - where do you want me to start. Note Domestic T20 is not First Class status.Interesting that apparently even Etihad is not first class standard!

Very different set up for Etihad and ANZ - without doing it properly and getting the depth right at the start its just won't happen, very different preparing a pitch to last one day - (3 hrs) v five days. Even if the wickets were still in - with no water allowed you would lose someone down one of the cracks inside day 3.Mate they can make drop ins to last 5 days for other grounds so why couldn't they do the same for Etihad?
