Andrews should debut being the only specialist spinner in the squad and Raphael will get yet another opportunity for the unfortunate Ferguson who is out for the season.

Khawaja was originally named on Friday but now he's going to NZ and the Bulls have surprisingly replaced him with Hemphrey instead of Scott Henry who has played all their games this year.

Expecting them to line up somewhat like:

Cooper
Raphael
Cosgrove
Head
Lehmann
Ross
Ludeman (+)
Mennie
Andrews
Sayers
Worall

Renshaw
Burns
Heazlett
Lynn
Hemphrey
Hartley (c, +)
Floros
Wildermuth
Hopes
Swepson
George

Really disappointing that we've gone back to Raphael. Step backwards. Has already had a heap of chances.

Neither Smith or Raphael have set the world on fire:
Raphael: 14 matches, avg 22, 2 x 50's
Smith: 11 matches, avg 23, 3 x 50's

Smith is 7 years younger though.

I assume Raphael will open giving us a left/right hand combination opening which is handy.

Not that handy when one of the two is ******* useless

It will be interesting to see how Andrews goes and if Worrall and Mennie can continue their form. Hopefully Cossie didn't have too much food for Christmas.

Good morning to be bowling. Surprised Qld batted with the low grey clouds and 75% humidity. Looking at the 4-day forecast, the only good time to be bowling in this match is today.

Just a question if anyone knows. How much do Shield umpires get paid?

No interest in doing it, just wondered.
