I doubt lockdowns will be even mentioned. There is no way that we are going to be locked down again. Everyone takes it for granted that we have been there and done that and won't be returning to them within the foreseeable future. Only dictatorial China still preserves a lockdown mentality. A democratic country would not dare implement them.

People are dying from covid but do you hear anyone suggesting another lockdown? If you want to save lives then what about now? Covid is winding now and we are coming to the end of winter. Lockdowns will not be happening.

It was pretty incompetently implemented and the collective amnesia of Andrews and his cronies at the inquiry left many questions answered. The government left themselves vulnerable to this kind of action.

Retail is highly competitive.

There's plenty of small retailers who suffered major losses. Retailers pay taxes some of which goes to Feds, some to Andrews govt.
The Andrews govt ain't exactly world beaters when it comes to spending money judiciously for the best outcome.

I’m hoping that with a Labor government, we may see some movement in the old age pension.
Like it or not, one of the basic principles of the Liberal party is “survival of the fittest”. While not to the extremes of the US Republican Party, it’s a brake on all things social safety net.
