I can't help but wonder what makes people want to have a group running their region who know nothing about governing a region. They rule by terror but offer nothing really to help people's lives.

I also can't help but notice unlike a few other groups a lot of them are cowards, hiding their faces from view for fear of being recognised. I strongly beleive they aren't locals but radicals from other countries drawn together trying to make the most of the situation there.

I see that the Westboro Church want to take up Adam Hills challenge and go to Iraq to convert Islamists. I'm willing to chip in and I'm willing to bet if you asked for money in the USA you'd be able to charter a plane in no time to fly them all over. I can just see ISIL liking their lips at the mileage they could gain from beheading them, only problem is it might not cause the outrage in the USA they might hope.

Personally i'll start worrying about the terror threat level when my co worker stops coming to work.

If bigfooty has taught me anything, its that muslim terrorists are actually evil jews pretending to be muslim terrorists.
and as such they let all the jews know not to come to work.

If i become a jew will i automatically know when theres going to be a terror attack like spidey sense or do they have a secret evil jew SMS alert system?

not a coincidence, actually, is a coincidence, my reply came a minute ago to Dry Rot's post. Mine was on the "anthrax attack" with the pidgin islam script.

think we can leave muslims and jews out of it. I was just making light of the astroturf letter that was putative a muslim/islam(ic) threat.

When you issue terror threats with nothing more specific, you are simply trying to scare your population.

When I see terror threats I get scared, only because I know the easily manipulated will soon be convinced of the need for a war.

Normally I'd agree with you, but right now I'd be expecting something in the UK literally any day.

More likely to be a quasi Mumbai/Nairobi attack on a shopping centre than co-ordinated bombings.

Nah, MI5 are pretty sharp these days, they have a very good idea of what is going on. They also know that inflicting a mass casualty attack would be very, very easy.

There's nothing to be gained from fake terror alerts any more. Cameron and Obama are struggling to gain public support even for action on Iraq.

I don't think Australians appreciate just how truly war weary the US and UK are, especially after the Great Recession.

The US suffered a lot more casualties, but the Brits lost plenty too and the whole Royal Wooton Basset thing was a real gamechanger.

People simply don't want another war in any way shape or form.

The US are fighting a rhetorical war on four fronts. Ukraine, Africa, Mesapotamia/Israel and Africa. And have you heard Hormone Replacement Clinton's bellicosity if it means she gets in the WhiteHouse. There wont be enough boots on the ground at Blundstone Stadium in Launceston.
