Perhaps you should rank the SFA artefacts using the algorithm, too.
I would rate that using a far more appropriate measure...

TiFmedia Power Rankings - 1st Coney Island Warriors

#1 - Coney Island Warriors

And now we find ourselves at the pinnacle of Sweet FA power, the summit or zenith if you will. Yes that’s right, after 12 gruelling write ups we finally reach the peak of the competition as we profile the Coney Island Warriors who find themselves perched comfortably in #1 position in the Season 36 TiFmedia Power Rankings after rising one spot up into pole position thanks to a barnstorming S35.

After a powerful display of Qooty during the home and away season that saw them clinch the minor premiership with daylight from 2nd place, the Warriors dominated the Qooty side of things in Season 35, while over the past few seasons off the field they have quietly and carefully curated one of the most active & engaged, complete and complementary squads in the league.

Led admirably by the reigning beez Trophy winner & seasoned skipper Tonga Bob, the Warriors truly set ‘the benchmark’ heading into Season 36.

Just as we touched on with the Dees, the Warriors were equally quiet on the player movement front during the off season. As the saying goes ‘you don’t mess with excellence’. But the Warriors squad hasn’t been built overnight, and Tonga Bob & co have done well to keep this current group together through the Expansion era as other clubs have struggled to rebuild.

They have welcomed back to the fold their former games record holder and life member zackah after a brief dalliance with the Roys that netted him a flag no less, as he further bolsters a squad that already boasts some of the league’s most powerful identities of the modern era. Home to no less than three beez Trophy winners with the #1 ranked player on the all time beez votes ladder, HOFer and future Immortal The Filth Wizard settling in for his second season at Van Cortlandt Park, alongside the winners of the past two seasons in former skipper TheInjuryFactory and skipper Tonga Bob that’s just where it starts. Add to that another HOFer, long term Warriors mentor and the #1 ranked player on the all time Mobbs Medal vote tally pantskyle, multiple All-SFA captain and former Hawks impresario Agent93 and that just skims the surface of the talent on their list.

On par with the Dees, the list of accolades are some of the most comprehensive for any club in the competition. From 3 HOFers (pantskyle, The Filth Wizard & Frankston Rover) to 3 Mobbs Medallists (pantskyle, Freofalcon & TheInjuryFactory), two Alf Andrews/Fred Medallists (Reginald Perrin & The Filth Wizard) and they also hold in excess of 50 All-SFA selections between them, with 22 just from 'the brothers' alone... proving the Warriors have a wealth experience under their roof and the top tier credentials to match.

Bob & co have quietly accumulated a raft of former club skippers and league heavyweights in recent seasons, while also coaxing back a handful of legends from their early club history to round out a squad that still very much speaks to their inaugural group, stacking their lines with match winners & match thread performers over the past half a dozen seasons culminating in the list we see in Season 36, with retention a key focus over this same period.

On field, the Wazzas put together their best ever season with their 11 win, 5 loss home and away record equalling their best ever wins tally shared with their S21 side, but off one less game it's worth noting. Claiming the minor premiership for just the second time in their history, and the first time since their famous S19 season, the Warriors dominated the competition throughout a near faultless display of Qooty prowess. The Warriors were at their most damaging mid season, as they strung a ruthless streak of form together to notch six straight wins together from rounds 10-15, including a 60 point thrashing of eventual premiers the Old Boys on their own deck at Spotswood Oval.

Come the finals, and they were bitterly unlucky to go down to their S35 sparring partner the Royals by a disappointing 4 points at home. While they would bounce back to beat the Bombers in the Semi Final in Week Two,they were ultimately bundled out by the eventual runner up Wonders to bring their impressive season to an untimely & premature finish.

Individually, they earned two All-SFA selections with TheInjuryFactory & vice captain FootyGuy13 being rewarded for their fine seasons, the latter actually earning vice captaincy of the side in what was just his first selection to an All-SFA team. Another club leader in Dinsdale performed best for the club in the Mobbs standings with his 10th placed finish giving the club a finisher inside the top 10, a mark of the depth and spread of performances throughout the season more than a dearth of quality. That said, whilst it might appear as though the underperformance in the Fred Medal by Filth as the league's 3rd greatest goalkicker of all time is a knock on his season, in fact it is a monument to his selflessness, as he shared the load in S35 with his fellow forwards, his tally of 49 goals a testament to sharing the pill as he ultimately finished 10th overall.

So their relative success in S35 was built less on individual performance in favour of team spread and contribution, but it was really off the the field where the individuals shone bright. Captain Tonga Bob was duly recognised for his fantastic season and body of work over a significant period of time as he saluted with his first beez Trophy and the club's second beez win in a row after he joined mentor TheInjuryFactory as the second Warrior to win the award as a Wazza. In fact the Warriors did remarkably well overall, with two top 5 finishes (Bob & TiF) and a whopping 7 selections within the top 50 in the award, a mark of their off field quality. Add to that a Frankston Rover Award coming to the club via yours truly and there weren't many hats that the Warriors didn't wear in Season 35.

So of course the patented algorithm has assessed all of those contributing factors to objectively rank the Coney Island Warriors as the #1 placed club with daylight in the Season 36 TiFmedia Power Rankings at the start of Season 36. It's going to take a remarkable effort to knock the Wazzas off the perch and claim the title in Season 36, however the algorithm will carefully assess the developments as the season unfolds and we will post the results of that End of Season assessment at seasons' end for all the movers & shakers in the TiFmedia Power Rankings.

Waited a couple minutes for Nature to take it’s course, then would walk the Duck on the Lead😎 Sometimes(Cos We had 6 Ducks, Dad, Mum and 4 bubs) He’d feed the clove to Mum, then bubs and so on, and take all 6 for a walk. Our Ducks were celebrities, Man! If Dad was Feelin’ Humorous, when they got back from their Walk, He’d feed the clove back to Dad Duck(Jack was his name, Mum was Jill), and They’d walk around in a circle. Well, till Me Mum got home. Anyway, Long story Short, if You and Ya Cronies smell Garlic when Ya Rock Up, Better have Eyes in the back of Ya Heads.

Jeebuz, TheInjuryFactory , You can Yap. Wait till The All Conquering Oobs get a hold of Your Motley Crew. We’re Gunna go through Ya like a clump a garlic through a Duck’s Arse. My ole Dad, bless him, showed Us kids a wicked trick years ago. Drilled a hole in a clove, shoved a piece of string through it, fed it to the Duck. Prising premiership winner @Greenery out of Spotswood was a strong move in isolation, and while his elevation to co-captaincy before playing a game for the club raises eyebrows, again on it's own merits it speaks to an intent to bring a new energy to the club. Deestroy Medal winner and two time premiership player @Ligma joins the Dragons under a cloud after a dramatic exit from the Old Boys amidst the peak of the drama between the two clubs in the first moments of the new season, however to be fair to her, that appeared to say alot more about the Old Boys than it did about her as the Ophidians quickly turned on one of their own
Excellent fiction TIF

Ahh yes, those 12 whole posts this season have been telling.

Yes Wacky at his best is loved, but unfortunately the algorithm doesn't look terribly favourably at clubs picking up other club's inactive discards sadly. Old mate fumbler only rates a mention because of the controversy caused.

See 'Shadow Man to the Bears' for reference.

Thanks.

For the record i like Ligma and it would of been an absolute cracker to play alongside that fellow SFA player.
