In all seriousness absolutely fair play. A young midfield of hopper Taranto and Bolton is ridiculous and that doesn’t even include the likes of prestia. Bet ya the reason Riewoldt and Cotchin stayed on was cause they knew this.

25 is the mid point of age for very good players . Hopper and Taranto are both on the wrong side of that .

Is the player in ‘ the system ‘ who looks most capable Brodies footsteps in 2023 , the bloke who will most likely be delisted if we get Taranto and Hopper , who we used pick 20 on ??

What's the point of this? So what Brodie got good after 5 years, but he was a spud before this and couldn't get a game in a bottom dwelling gold coast. So there was no indication he was going to have the year he's had. Freo got lucky, potentially found a diamond in the rough, IF Brodie continues to play well.

Taranto and Hopper, proven performers, are both at 25 or just past, they'll give us 5 plus years of good service, 3 of those in their prime, which lines up with our premiership hopes with our list. We can't rely on luck we need quality, for that we have to pay.

RCD was always a pick in hope, flip of the coin which we had the luxury of picking post and pre premierships. He didn't work out, many picks don't. We can't wait for him to have a Brodie year, our list doesn't have the time.

The last 4 or so years of trying ot get that midfield sorted has worked out. And so worked out!!! This is amazing. Just incredible management of the salary cap, draft picks and where other clubs were going to be. GWS's salary cap crunch was on the cards, and we lined it right up and nailed it.

I must be watching a different game to some on here.

We have been murdered through the middle this year.
We have the shallowest midfield group in the league, and the worst thing is, our best midfielders are often unavailable
If either TT or JH played for Richmond last week, we would be getting excited about pumping Melbourne on Friday night.

Prestia/Cotchin/Martin on current averages may play 30 games total a year. This is a ripping move, and the best of all the possible options to give the current team a chance at another flag. The club took 5 youngsters last year, And 6 players had finals debuts.

Bringing in TT and JH improves our biggest weakness, to be honest it sounds too good to be true
